Re: Win-A-Pint Bitter drop penny on ebay (Jamieson)

I think that should be 1 win for every 25p played. That would be twice the price of a pint.

Re: Best way to fix Nostalgic Machines 808 lock

If you can pull the top off...you can then reach down and remove the cam from the back of the lock , allowing the front to open . You probably need to remove the top anyway in order to glue it back on securely.

Re: Bally Money Honey

This is not an original Bally part. The relays are Bally, the plug is Bally, the motor is Crouzet, made in France i think. The studded board is someone's homemade part and never used by Bally. Money Honey was a hopper pay jackpot machine and yours has a short payout tube on the front door. Many Ball...

Re: Bally Money Honey

I don't remember Sidleen locks ever being fitted to Bally machines when they were new, but often used when operators wanted to fit a suite of locks to their machines so that they could all be opened with the same key. You can buy a new barrel lock on ebay for less than £10. Just make sure you get th...

Re: E/M Bally bandits

The 8.2k resistor is there to prevent the relay suffering from residual magnetism and therefore protect the contents of the hopper. Why some relays in Bally machines suffer from this and not others is a mystery to me. On the bingo machines the ball lifter relay and mixer 2 relays always needed anti ...

Roger...my photo came from a sale by Potter and Potter auctions of Chicago.
I'm not very tech savvy - just googled (Chinese fortune teller C Palash) and up it popped.
I tried it again and it wasn't there????

Re: Help Identify 2p Slot Machine

The Union Jack I had was in a wide body Bally case. Only 3 symbols on the reels, as I remember: Union Jacks, tankards and bars. Payouts were either 5 x 2p or 25 x 2p, I think.

Haven't seen one like this before... but internal parts seem to be Bally.

I've used old oak furniture... book shelves are often best. You can find them in second hand shops or auction rooms... usually go pretty cheap.

Re: Bally Gold Cup Deluxe circa 1965

Check the fuse holders... they are made of plated brass and the arms that hold the fuse lose tension.
When you try to bend the arms back in again they break and fall off. Happens on all the old Ballys!
