Re: Melon High Top on UK ebay

It's a lovely looking machine, defnitely one I would like.

How can you tell it's the wrong mech, are the reelstrips incorrect for this machine or is it something about the actual mech?

Re: The Machine You All love to Hate !!

I'm guessing it's this one Mills Golden Nugget on ebay

I don't think it's too bad, looks much better now than it did before (if it is the one above).

Re: Newbie questions

Your springs all in the wrong places, see below Thanks, I couldn't get it to work how I think it's supposed to, but It's working how I want now. Basically I ended up putting a tight spring on to stop those teeth from coming out stopping coins dropping into the jackpot, so now they just fall straigh...

Does anyone have a picture of the side of the JP like the one above? I'm testing new springs without much joy, just want to see if they're in the correct position !PUZZLED!

Re: Aristocrat Nevada

I can't help with #1 but for #2 try cleaning the clock area, spray a little WD40 on it as well. I had the same problem with the reels spinning slowly.

for #3 try this http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/produ ... RC-springs

Re: Aristocrat Kentucky

Im intrigued by the Beat the Bookie Random Payout Intensifier??? I wonder if the machine had a compensated payout system like the Peter Simpner machines?? e.g. when it took so much it would start to pay, when it hadnt reached its profit it controlled the play. Yes I'm intrigued by that as well, som...

Re: Newbie questions

So all I need to do is "unlock" that red bar, line up the jackpot and it should payout? I thought it looked simple enough  RE: the springs in this pic IMG_0209.JPG They look similar to the springs on ebay/the marketplace on here - https://pennymachines.co.uk/cgi-bin/Market/index.pl?c...

Aristocrat Kentucky

Does anyone have any larger images of the Aristocrat Kentucky, the only one I've managed to find is this.
Aristocrat Kingsway Mechanicals - Hoppers 02.JPG

Was this a particularly rare machine or something? I can't find anything on Google. !PUZZLED!

Re: Newbie questions

WD40 can be a great help but take care, don't use anywhere near the coins or slides. It's slow because of old grease, poor springs and lack of use. Remove as much grease, as you can and lightly oil, check the springs, then playing it will improve it dramatically. They need a lot of pressure don't t...

Re: Newbie questions

Managed to get it working !!THUMBSX2!! Wasn't levering it with enough force. Reels spin and it pays out, but the wheels seem really slow. Going to clean it tomorrow and spray some WD40 on it to see if that helps. Also the jackpot doesn't seem to work properly. I've made it line up all the crowns and...

Re: Newbie questions

Thanks for that, I've managed to free the jammed coin with a pair of pliers and also fixed that loose flappy lever thing..... But I couldn't get the ratchet to move !PUZZLED! Was that purely to free the coin, or is that something I need to do anyway, as freeing the coin doesn't seem to have made any...

Re: Newbie questions

Thanks for the replies, but I'm probably a bit more confused now than I was before! Should I attempt to take the screw above the "dog" off or am I going to lose a finger?! Haven't got any other tools apart from my trusty knife until the weekend so I'll have a look then. I'm planning to deg...

Re: Newbie questions

It looks like the machine has not completed it's cycle, so all the components are in an open state. You can either trying to slide the mechanism back into the machine, lifting the handle up before hand and then once in, pulling the handle all the way down. Or wit the mechanism out, try with a large...

Re: Newbie questions

A lot of Aristocrats have a little wire shaped lever that protrudes out of the front at the bottom plate. Its purpose is to stop the fan on the timing clock which stops the cycle at the point yours has stopped at, in order for maintenance and checking payout sequences. Look under the Jackpot Bank, ...

Re: Newbie questions

Now having seen your picture, there a couple of loose looking springs on the left of the jackpot, but should not cause your issue, the item under the nylon actuator is more odd and maybe blocking the machine. I would take the mechanism out and try turning it over to see what happens...Below is a pi...

Re: Newbie questions

If you have a video feature on your mobile, why don't you take a snip of the issue in hand and post a link to youtube on here, might help diagnose the issue.... I will give that a try thanks. It does look as if the handle part of the mechanism is lower than it should be, which would in turn allow y...

Re: Newbie questions

Right, it's arrived.......and I think I broke it first spin! It might not have been working properly anyway, but first spin the reels spun and stopped but nothing really happened, the wheels haven't locked into place - I can move them manually. The handle hasn't locked back into place either...

Re: Newbie questions

Thanks for the info. I have agreed to buy the Deci King off ebay so fingers crossed it goes smoothly! No doubt I'll be on here asking more questions when it arrives, he does say in the listing the reels are a bit slow and the payout wasn't working properly !OMFG! I'm looking forward to trying to fix...
