Re: Roma Flotilla

special when lit
Hi T/F. Don't suppose you have a handle plate in that useful pile, do you?
I noticed that one restorer used a 3D printer to make a similar part https://www.foghandersen.com/en-rotomat ... problemer/ This must be the future for us restorers.

Re: Clown Catcher, info please

My Clown Catcher is similar except it doesn't have a 'flicker' to raise the ball to the top. It certainly makes the mech a lot simpler to do it this way. You can see from the attached photo how much extra metalwork is needed to raise the ball to the top of the machine with the T shaped knob. The tub...

Re: Anyone had tokens made for machines?

Seem to be plenty of old pennies on Ebay at a reasonable price - probably less than having tokens made. And you get all that history with old pennies, ranging from Victoria to Elizabeth. I learned my recent kings and queens from these old coins and found it a loss when decimalisation was introduced....

Re: Justice Scrutton's Tipple

Thereafter, many ball catching slot machines, including 'Clown Catchers', proudly sported a label proclaiming their legal status by citing this case.
My Clown Catcher displays that judgement, and others as well, in an attempt to avoid a fine or confiscation.

Re: Regina Beromat Restoration

Interestingly (well I find it interesting anyway) eliminating the 'bar bar 2' payout reduces the percentage winnings from 60.2% to 47.6% Somebody really was being mean and I have put a little more joy into this queen.

Re: Regina Beromat Restoration

Badpenny I see you are a philosopher and a sensible chap too. Your comment about the reel strips reminded me that I found a paper number 6 loose in the cabinet. If this had been pasted on top of the number 2 on the strip then this would explain why there was no payout for this position. Someone had ...

Re: Regina Beromat Restoration

I got out my file and about an hour later, the machine now pays out correctly. Fortunately there was another 2d payout slot on the cam so I could copy the depth from that one. Thought perhaps the purists would scream in horror at the idea of modifying the Regina bandit. It's still a great puzzle why...

Re: Revenge of the One Arm Bandit

Only issue is about half the videos posted over the 10 years now have dead links, such a shame one can’t copy them.
Treefrog, I assume you mean they can't be copied for copyright reasons rather than technical ones. I'm no expect on these matters but doesn't the copyright expire after 75 years?

Re: Alwin lock and other questions

I would send the lock away to one of the locksmiths listed in the Services section of the forum. It looks to be a simple lock so it shouldn't cost too much to cut a key and you get to keep the original lock. It's probably worth phoning them first to check they are open because of the you-know-what v...
