Re: Duo Mat payout problem

My pathetic joke was because the capital D is often used for dimension while small d is used for old pence. So are there any 2 dimensional coins? Not great when you have to explain a joke - I must try harder. Now where have I seen that comment before?

Re: Duo Mat payout problem

Great to know it's sorted. Your solution is useful to store in the old memory bank but I bet I've forgotten it by Tuesday.

Re: Duo Mat payout problem

I think the only safe way would be to dismantle the coin slides. I can imagine that you are trying to avoid this but, as you say, prising it out runs the risk of breaking the slides. It also gives you the opportunity to clean the slides and work out why the coin jammed in the first place. BTW are th...

Why are some bandits so complicated?

I have just been watching a video on YouTube where a guy takes apart a Mills bandit, restores it and re-assembles it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ8m7HPLH64 It's an amazing job but I am left wondering why it is so complicated. I have only messed about with Beromat machines and they are much muc...

It should have a model of King Kong on the top, perhaps holding Fay Wray in its arms.

Re: Cleaning and Parts Questions

As for cleaning, there is no substitute for dismantling, degreasing and treating the rust. (I like Evaporust but there are alternatives including good old sandpaper for large parts.) Take lots of photos while dismantling as it is so easy to forget where parts go. !!RANT!! Then it's a case of re-oili...

Re: A little something extra for the games room

Coppinpr, is this the Chinese company please? There seem to be several UK based sellers as well for these LED displays. When I first saw them I thought they were neon and the idea of putting them in a sauna was shocking :!: quite literally.

Re: My Rotomat Juwel and Duomat penny arcades

The keys were £54 for the pair - even though I supplied the blanks. I got four blanks from Davenport Burgess for under £10. Add postage and you can see that it mounts up very quickly!

Re: My Rotomat Juwel and Duomat penny arcades

Yes I have had 2 sets of Zeiss locks re-keyed for my Beromats. I went to Morlands Locks but initially they said they didn't have the blanks and couldn't do them. After a bit of a search I found the blanks at Davenport Burgess. They are usually trade only but I phoned them and they were very helpful....
