True - it would still increase the payout percentage, but might have a psychological edge over coin return and a free ball.

As it stands in the photo part (B) is not screwed in. Am I right in thinking it sits in a position where losers slide under it and winners are kicked into it (shown by the blue and yellow arrows on photo 2)?
