Re: Cake vending Vintage Slot
Brilliant on so many levels!
Filmed entirely on location in Paul Coppin's workshop and a special appearance from Badpenny with a screwdriver and large hammer.
Now over to the rest of you to decide which real machine it resembles the most.

Re: Retro 1950s slot machine stand on ebay
another but more specific ruse I have enjoyed success with is where I have Beromat, Duomat, Rotamat, Rotamints etc I list them under circus/fairground collectibles and have the words "coin-operated german arcade wall machine" in the title. Not as many hits as "slot machine stand"...

Re: retro 1950's slot machine stand on ebay
My question is as you're not auctioning you clearly have prices in mind to tell collectors when they contact you. So, why don't you put them on The Market on this site? I have cleared out between 30 and 40 machines over the last 12 months or so and although some have been purchased by forum members...

Re: retro 1950's slot machine stand on ebay
Psst.... It's mine and has been on there about 6 months with various machines stood on top of it or next to it....and guess what..........most of them are sold, nudge nudge, wink wink, My top tip is find any old piece of sh*t that you can describe as a stand and you will receive questions about what...

Re: Rotomat Dualo
What it means is if you insert 1DM you will get one game and 9 x 10PF coins change.
Similarly if you insert 50PF you will get one game and 4 x 10PF coins change.

Re: Rotomat Dualo
Figure out which direction the overflowing coins slide from the top of the tube and make a box to catch them in, put empty food tub in the back section of the cabinet for quick fix or get ready to get on your knees when you open the machine up. Or post a picture of the tube area and the engineering ...

Re: Why our hobby should carry a health warning!!
Tokens are same size as modern 10p pieces but the machines are fussy - some are accepted, some aren't. that could be due to the dates of the coins you are using - anything post 2012 might get rejected due to change in composition - I had a Jubilee Riviera recently that was sold as not working, the ...

Re: Rotomat Dualo
Hi Mike, I just sold my Dualo but they are an interesting machine, lots of fun to play. it would originally have been on 10 pfennigs and our 20 pence coin works well as a substitute. Your 5c is approx the same diameter but the thickness may be a problem to you as the nickel is quite a bit thicker th...

Re: ice hockey game at elephant house
They are a sort of nothing game aren't they, I sold mine for around the £250 mark about 2 years ago to a former ice hockey player and I was happy a) with the price and b) to get rid of it.

Re: Bergman Imperator - Fair Price
Yup, I weighed up the chances of someone randomly searching Bergmann Imperator on Ebay any-time in the next thousand years and decided against using it in the listing, and it the weirdest thing because to me it cries out "Art Deco" styling even though it is from 1954.

The next time I wake up in a gutter I'll check either side of me before I depart. As Oscar Wilde put it " we are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" I suspect your sleeping arrangements are more to do with looking at the bottom of a glass than looking at the stars ...

Re: Bergman Imperator - Fair Price
I am currently experimenting with a cunning plan which has not had any listings removed for about 6 weeks. Said plan means slightly restricted audience as it avoids certain key words! But has directly and indirectly lead to sale of 9 machines.

I think it was about the former Vice President of the USA that it was said that when his library burnt to the ground he lost both of his books.
