Re: You be the Judge
That doesn't surprise me, most of the crooks I've seen at auctions (both slot and otherwise were running the thing (Coventry excepted of course, which one reason we miss it so much))when I have pointed things out to certain auctions houses, they often show little interest…

What a beauty
I was delivering some of the sauna equipment I sell to a new Gym being built near me in Newhaven the other day, when I pushed open the door I was immediately confronted by this beauty (please excuse the glare from the gym sign on the photo). The Gym owner rents this from a company offering these and...

Re: Picking locks
Buy a set of lock picks. You will find you often have need of them and these locks are easy to pick. Mills "snake" no way and a Sega "barrel" is supposed to be easy but I never could get the hang of it.

How odd, play-table wise it's the same machine AND, it too has a lot more wear on the right-hand side.

ABC Coin Co "Double Skippy" 1937
I saw this game online today while searching for something else and it struck me as quite a clever little trade stim/bar game that would have been popular(especially as a bar game between drinking pals). I'm sure some have seen it before, I have not. Made by ABC Coin Co (who seem to have made only t...

trust the BBC to have no idea, take what they were told as fact and do no checks of their own," the whole collection is expected to fetch £16,000 !! " it actually fetched a little over £40,000

Re: Rotamints
Although the vehicle in the photo could well be a Ford it's more likely to have much in common with you and be a "Willy(s) old bird", or even a willy old small bird (a "Bantam")

It seems I'm making these harder each week. Don't blame me, I'm just trying to help people out.
So, can anyone ID the maker of this poor beast please? I can't find anything close. Bally perhaps or Pace?

Re: Extraordinary Escalator
I might be wrong but I thought the JP glass was attached to the JP unit and just pressed up against the window frame. This allows you to remove the unit without the coins all falling about. It certainly was not glued, but I could be wrong. I'll look at my Extraordinary. The gold award unit is common...

I once bought two off a guy who didn't know you could take the mech out and had carried them up two flights of stone stairs in a block of flats !! Even dismantled I took my life in my hands getting back down those stairs.

Re: Handle hard to pull
the first thing to know is, is it the handle or the mech that is stiffer? with the mech out of the case is the mech harder to cycle than it was before? and at the same time, is the handle real smooth without the mech in place? Then, of course, with new springs etc the mech should be stiffer (as it w...
