Oak premier vendor cards

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin. I’m about to take delivery of one of these which I will need to strip and paint. I can’t find any info about the cards these machines take so know nothing about size/thickness. I’m thinking of ‘re theming’ it depending on what cards I can find. Frustratingly, ...

Re: Taxi meter

Well if I don’t succeed I think you’ll all know about it according to the pic above! Yes I was looking at synchronous motors on eBay. Quite cheap and hopefully powerful enough. I tried with an electric screwdriver and it ticks over very nicely. I wasn’t sure the 4 rpm would be fast enough but obvs w...

Re: Taxi meter

Actually on second look I believe it’s a physical connection in the base. I guess I need a motor to drive that. Would be interesting to know how many turns/speed needed to make a difference…. If anyone knows approximate gearing etc.

Taxi meter

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin. This prob isn’t the right forum for this but I know you lot are into all sorts and to be honest I’m not sure where else to ask so forgive me….. I’ve just acquired this Halda taxi meter. A cute little thing and seems to be working and ticking and the meter prog...

Groetchen Twenty One

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin. I have a Groetchen Twenty One which I still need to give some attention to and also just getting a Brabo Card/gum vendor. Question 1 - do these both take the same size gumballs and what size are they? Is there a 'standard' gumball size for machines like these?...

Colcon membership

Does anyone know how to activate membership on colcon? I paid my subs for the month. How long does it take for the account to upgrade or do I need to do something? Can't see any contact info on the site to ask.

Also, how do I pay my Arena subs here?

Thanks

Re: Smile, say Cheese

On the subject of photobooths, does anyone know much about them mechanics wise? I’ve recently been asked to get a model 14 photo booth working for someone. Managed to get a circuit diagram which looks pretty simple compared to the pinball machines I usually work on, but there’s obviously a lot of me...

There's also at least one with a slot machine in the playfield. Can’t remember the name sadly!

special when lit wrote: Fri Jun 17, 2022 3:06 pm Brilliant. Got a few 50's wallboxes myself, & always wanted to have a go at doing that.
It’s fairly simple with basic electronics understanding. I managed to have a voltage drop down board explode on me but I think that was the board’s fault rather than mine :HaHa: The second was fine!

Re: Wallbox jukebox conversion

Yes I’ve been offered a mid seventies slimline style one too. Problem is this was one of the first electronic ones, so a different skill set needed if it’s bust. I’m happier generally fixing the em gear.

Wallbox jukebox conversion

This is a new divergence for me, which might be of interest to some. I picked up this '50s Seeburg wallbox. The most beautiful remote control ever. For those not in the know as I wasn’t until recently, these sat on the diner tables and were connected to the main jukebox elsewhere in the room. They a...

Thanks for the offer. I think I may have a cup myself without surround but need to check. Let you know if needed. Cheers.
