Re: Auction Day - Bonhams and others
The people who gets bargains, don't usually get them through Internet based auctions as we all see these. It will be word of mouth or non internet based advertising/auctions etc

Re: machine info
They are usually old Mills mechanisms, poinsetta type normally in a cabinet made by whoever...(possibly in the 60's)
Unlikely to have lights.
A simple mechanical machine in the style of the Aristocrat Sheerline type machines, made of wood/ply and formica etc

Re: Reels not spinning on Aristocrat Olympic 'Lucky Chance'
Well I am a fan of keeping this item working with the electrics. I would guess these were conversions in the UK. You see, as Coppinpr says, similar schemes on other machines, e.g., Mills, Sega and Aristocrats. I think I have a few, but not like this. Possible way this works is: This has two slides. ...

Auction Day - Bonhams and others
A few lots went up today and the prices raised a few surprises.. First are two lots at Brettels Auction, a Columbia bandit and Handan Multi Ball catcher. As it happens I viewed these on my way to collect the Cyclone machine. The Columbia looked a nice original machine, eg original paint and worked w...

Re: Primus slot machine
They may have reduced the payout odds. I notice I cannot see any of the numbers on the third reel with a red line through like the other reels, these would normally payout 2 coins with three matching red lines. The two slides that are broken, one of them is the master slide or bottom slide which hol...

Re: Line Fifteen Allwin
Great looking allwin and an unusual gallery...... How often does the ball land in one of the sloping down cups? I notice you are missing the coin cup on the bottom of the door. These do come up for sale occasionally, but if you put a wanted request in the Market (on the left of the page) someone may...

How weird, I found the same website today......Must be a Sunday.
And another one for JC, someone who loves your arcade, with a report on the machines:

It certainly reached a fair sum over £360......
Would have been tempted, as I am getting into quirky machines.

Re: Team Breker Auction
I see these same two old cast iron lots are up at the next Elephant auction........I either assume the seller is could not sell them at Breker and trying their luck here or the new owner is already shifting them on.... I would be surprised if they sell here for the money expected. Also a nice lookin...

Re: Zeiss ikon locks
I have also tried and failed on this front. Some people replace with other types of locks adjusted to fit. I did manage to get a Yale one that fitted a few years back, but there is someone on ebay selling EVVA locks that look the right diameter and size. I have bought one and he has others. I got mi...

Re: "Cyclone" electro-mechanical? wall game
Well, I must be nuts - 524 miles later and a whole day driving got it home... Mind you, I decided to carefully drive at 60 miles an hour, where possible tailgating large trucks and managed to get 46mpg, where I normally get 35. Don't feel so bad. No keys, so entered from the rear. First problem is h...

Re: Primus slot machine
Ok, so the tilt feature is an anti-hitting or tampering device. Very good, well it seems most British conversions removed this, perhaps it was unreliable and hassle for an operator. The coin tray I am talking about of the payout tray at the front, yours is missing, unless you have it somewhere. I do...

I do have some spare mechs - the problem will be getting them apart, as these machines I have found to be a bugger to take apart. When forced they break apart....tazmantic wrote:Must also try and find some feeler disks as mine are looking a bit sorry.

Re: HELP HELP HELP MY BRAIN S SCRAMBLED
I am afraid you will not get 10 coins on this machine, as it only has one slide. So, if you look at all your wins, apart from the 5 shillings, they are 1 shilling, so 2 sixpences. This means your machine has a single slide and, looking at it, that appears to be the case. The 5 wins, will be a token ...

Re: Primus slot machine
BP, was it a "Tilt Feature"? I noticed on your machine the window on the right of the reels has an extra "two choice reel" or switch with possibly "Illegal Strike" and "not great" written on, although the translator I used may have not done this correctly........

Re: Single machine Permit, this what it looks like
The dog license would be a good example of a mad taxation license where what happens if people do not pay, as so many people did not get licenses for their dogs, and it was very difficult to enforce, they gave up and disbanded the scheme... If only the same could happen with us...
