If you do send a link to the site to the MP, maybe an idea to edit the above thread to make it more MP friendly

Re: Foto Finish

Looking at the ebay pictures, I can see why the case had fallen apart. I guess this was due to being in a very damp place for a long time and I would be a little worried about some of the electrics.... You may get 30 quid for the parts, but a complete machine even partially working would be closer t...

Re: Foto Finish

Just a point, but it does appear that there is the occasional habit to allow threads to get out of hand. BP made a point, which is fair and an apology came. It should be left as that, end of, otherwise things get out of hand and this yet again seems to be the case... We should be encouraging people ...

Re: What are these worth

Welcome to the forum... not sure there are any rule breaks, but some people will not talk prices....To be honest, the two floor standing machines will not be of interest or of knowledge to most on here as people like the older type machines. The Aristocrat is a common machine and has a value, obviou...

Re: Sapho Penny Slot

Ah so it is.... you're right about the woodworm, it is odd as it is only on the edges, nowhere on the front or sides.... Do you know anything about this machine? I notice there is no lock on the front and the handle on the top of the front looks very similar to the cheap 30s furniture handles you ge...

Re: What's the name of this slot machine?

Welcome to the forum..... if you do a search for Riviera or Jubilee you will gets lots of information. Riviera is the model and it is an Australian machine made by Jubilee or Nutt and Muddle...... The belly glass should not be an issue to get a replacement as there are loads of these out there, as t...

Re: Newbe with what I thought was unknown machine

The lever protrudes through the frame into the hole in the coin tube and pushes backwards and forwards at each pull. This is to push the top coin off the top of the tube to ensure the coins do not fall all over the place and go down the overflow.... I will try and get some measurements tomorrow, but...

Re: Newbe with what I thought was unknown machine

That loose bit of metal is the coin tube overflow lever. It fits horizontally and through to the coin tube (picture 3). There should be a mount to the left of picture 4 to sit on. See my picture below. I have included a few pics of my mech to help you. As you can see, there should be a metal overflo...

Re: Newbe with what I thought was unknown machine

Oddly I saw your post on the US coin Op forum and tried to post a reply there..... it appears they review every post before allowing, which is odd..... Welcome to Pennymachines.... You're right in that the mechanism is a German Gunter Wulf unit, but inside a British made case called the Princess... ...

Re: Ebid v Ebay

I could not find your machine, then realised that there is a Coin Operated Section under Collectables as well as Video and Gaming......This makes a lot more sense being there and is where Ebay should have it, like in the US...

Sapho Penny Slot

Came across the below Penny machine, the "Sapho" from a Bonhams auction from 2011....there was only 3 machines in the sale lot, two bandits and this. I must have missed the auction, but knowing Bonhams are not cheap on the charges front a sale of £336 including commission seems very cheap....

Re: Ebid v Ebay

I agree Coppin about the anything illegal side, but of course it is not illegal with the right documentation....of course the biggest issue is that eBid does not have the coverage or audience as eBay. Having been on eBay for over 10 years, many of the forums associated with them have been dying for ...

Ebid v Ebay

There have been a few attempted contenders to Ebay over the years, but Ebid still seem to be there and you can sell for no fee.... I had a look at the rules for selling and there is no mention of gaming or slot machines being banned. Also they have a Coin Operated section May not have a big audience...

Not for me - yet to get into these types of machine. You could have a collection in one hit...not sure they will go cheap though.

Re: new project

Denby, see below measurements in metric, as close as possible for base.

I suspect you will need to make sides as well, as the base of the chipboard ones look a little damaged/swollen

Let me know if you need sides and other bits.
