Re: Mills 4 reel Bell-O-Matic

It looks very classy and I could imagine it back in time attracting many people in a glitzy casino environment. The earlier comments about chrome, its not for everyone. You've taken something in bad shape and transformed it into something that would look good in a home. Ive had my fingers badly burn...

Re: Jennings Governor 'win percent' rate question...

That's very interesting coppinpr, thanks for sharing. I do have a modern Japanese table top pachislo slot machines (in Japan, they have to be destroyed or exported after two years). It's an incredible thing, and the odds on this one are a minimum of 96% and highest at 106%. You put it into a mode an...

Re: Jennings Governor 'win percent' rate question...

I always thought, and this being a US Jennings, that the actual US law was a minimum 75% payout? I remember seeing percentages stated on many bandits including some of my segas and the later electro mechanical machines too. But yes, of course, dodgy operators and their tampering are pretty common he...

Re: Hi from Hampshire and looking for advice

Welcome Keith. You will find like all of us, that your collection will grow and grow. Be prepared to clear space, loved ones, loft eaves, wherever to house your collection. I've scaled back to seven bandits and electro mechanical wall machines from a dozen. I still get the urge to buy something new ...

Re: Sega Skill Diga 6d Play

Oh crikey I remember this machine run in the Harrison's amusements on Bognor Seafront in the 70s; they also owned the pier. All I remember winning were 10 Embassy cigs that had been in there so long they were stale. Thats how hard it was to win.

Sorry I've been away. As soon as I'm able to access my Rialto I will photo the cashbox. My machine is in a loft eave cupboard behind some stuff and I've recently had surgery and not allowed to lift for a couple of weeks. I won't forget to do it for you.

Re: Bell Fruit Cascade

A wise man posted on here you need to lay two chairs face to face with you lying on the floor between them and reaching up. Can't for the life of me think who it was? It's quite amazing how the subject of the Bell Fruit Cascade has come up. I always fancied one of these but I have a bad back a...

That looks great. I have exactly the same Rialto model in full working condition. Got mine from the late Harold English. They work great on the new 20p coin and make a very nice money box.

Re: Italian Ascot Bandits

There is currently an Astor mech for sale on Ebay; might be of use to somebody on here who has a case or needs parts. Not sure how far the corrosion goes on it, probably just surface rust. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-ASCOT-JACKBAR-DE-LUXE-ONE-ARMED-BANDIT-MECH-MILLS-JENNINGS-SEGA/293146817882...

Re: Bally machine running on unusual coin

I have seen this once on a third party converted Sega Continental with very strange fruits on reels; in fact the guys still got it in his garage a mile up the road. Was asked if i wanted to buy an old bandit in his garage, didn't know the make, got all excited, went round and firstly it was a Contin...

Re: Coin operated petrol pumps

I've never understood the petrolelole'oleum industry. We pay so much in the UK for it, but have you noticed how it doesn't matter where they open a new filling station they always strike petrol? So much of it at times you sometimes see road tankers pulling in to carry it away. Rip off UK! BP !!GRUM...

Well the Aristo thread popularity might be due to the fact they come up more regularly for sale than other slots and are actually affordable right now; particularly good entry machines for first purchases. We generally tell folk when they ask on here about what first bandit they should buy; an Arist...

Re: Riviera OXO approximate price please

I don't think they are so popular with us guys, most are Powell's conversions. I've owned two good ones, a Riviera OXO and an Aristocrat Esprit OXO, both Powell conversions which were traded to me from a working amusement arcade in Pagham in exchange for two Ballys. The third, another Riviera, was q...

Welcome! Used to hang out in Worthing every Saturday as both my nans lived there and spent most of life on the pier playing the slots. Excellent Toby Carvery in Goring Road, was there Saturday. I'm just up the coast in Felpham nr Bognor Regis. I had a Sega Continental and the heaviest damn machine I...
