Re: Single machine Permit, this what it looks like

Coppinpr, I stand by my comment purely on the basis that I believe the balance between trying all options to change the law and risk things getting worse is fine and I know a lot of people have made a lot of effort, including yourself so far, but assuming the below will not be a risk could be flawed...

Re: Spring is sprung already!

You will never lose your cherry Mark, with that stock you have :D Funnily enough, I was going to have a clear out myself, now I have time... Might leave it a short while.... Of course, Mr Slots has a lot bigger market. Having said that I also bought some stuff from Fred (Bentcoin) in the States and ...

Re: Spring is sprung already!

I think you will have forgotten one of our esteemed colleagues did exactly this (Slider) and in fact some of his finger springs are still in the market.... As we stated then, you will never become a millionaire. A lot of spares have been hitting ebay for the last 6 weeks, from Marktol and Roger and ...

Re: Interesting machine/ad on ebay

These are Sega Windsors and were mentioned on the Buckingham thread about the similarity of the machines, but they are different. Don't see many of the Playboy ones, I have one awaiting restoration... I remember one a few years ago at the Brighton Pinball show that went for a fair sum...

Re: Primus slot machine

Yes, I both bought and sold said machine. :#: Although I was very happy with the £50 one above I bought at the Coventry auction, even had original keys....Think I have another one somewhere... These larger screen type Gunter Wulffs never seem to be as popular as the smaller window varieties for some...

Re: Im not surprised!!

Looks good for spares, eg jackpot, escalator and mechanism..... If it was closer to me, I would go for it for the right price.... Also intrigued by the 20 coin badge.....The obvious is 20p, but it looks older than 1982..... Wonder if it is some other country coinage, eg French 20 centimes.

Re: What have I bought? Misleading belly glass

Yes, you are right about the Jackpot - that part hanging down is the reset bar. Not seen a Wild Aces before. I had a Sheerline style machine with Wild Ace card and poker reels. Yours has the poker Aces which look to have been stuck on the reels, so not sure if this was an after market change, rather...

Re: Anyone seen one of these Sega stands before?

Mark if you were at Coventry, you should have gone for the Mills Extraordinary or the War Eagle, both looked fairly original restoration projects and a lot cheaper than this Roman Head

Re: Anyone seen one of these Sega stands before?

Well I am sure some of you watched, or turned up at the Sworders auction. Admittedly I watched with a finger at the ready in case it was worth while, but with 24% commission including VAT and if bidding online an additional 4% and with the high estimates this was unlikely. Well proven right except p...

Re: The Jester

Well Done JP, I watched to the end and almost bid as it did seem unusual and the shipping was around 170 quid to the UK....Somehow seeing the original denomination sheet for US/Canadian coinage it seems right this should stay on your side of the water....Shame the rear boards are missing, unless the...

The Caille Jester

This machine was for sale in Canada, but did not reach reserve....Although from the front looks like any other catcher type machine, it is a lot deeper and the mechanism is very unusual and very heavy duty. Even the handle on the front looks like it has come from a battleship. Operates on 1 cent wit...

Re: Bradley Challenger and variants

Just checked and 7/8" inch is correct and sits almost flush to the front. I can only assume the originals would have had no wings/tabs and the screws would go through the lock, which I suspect could be achieved or cut off one side and rely on the single screw.

Re: Newbe with Princess bandit

I may be able to get a better picture of the glass, which you would need to touch up with Photoshop and possibly get a printer to reproduce on clear plastic. Below are not great quality pictures of the coin entry area. You probably just need a flat piece of metal with a space wide enough to let a co...

Re: what have i bought? misleading belly glass

Not sure I am an expert on these, just have too many of them. Difficult to tell what this machine was originally in terms of the Nevada range. A lot of early Gold Stars I have had have the Gold Star stuck onto the reels - this was common. I bought a load of reel strips not long ago that were profess...

Re: Any supplier of glass who de

Old plate glass can be got from some glass suppliers, e.g. non-toughened as they all are now. Worth asking a few suppliers - people still demand this for old restorations. You can even get the type of glass they used to make, where it was spun - very expensive though. Maybe worth trying reclamation ...

Re: Ebay & Gambling Licence

A machine I have always fancied, appeared last night at about 2am, a Ace King of Clubs by a seller from Somerset, see below link of another example.... When I got up this morning it was gone... My only question, if someone is reporting this, how do so many machines disappear at all hours...... https...
