Re: Rotamints

I can’t imagine it will draw 1000w. Or at least if it does then it probably is about to burn your house down. As above, I usually check the basics and if all OK plug it in while watching for any nasty things happening.

Re: Very Rare Wonders Machine

The same pintable as the one used by Elton John in the film "Tommy" was up for sale... That same pinball machine was on eBay for months about a year ago I believe at around £15000. Kept being relisted and didn’t appear to sell. Not sure if the guy on the programme was the same owner or no...

ID needed for this machine

Can anyone ID or shed any light on this machine?

It’s rusty but sound underneath it all. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth restoring it or just to move ot on as ot is for someone to enjoy the fun. Would be good to know a bit about it to help me decide.

Thanks

Re: Ruffler and Walker - What's My Line?

I’ve got a Many Happy Returns which is basically the same machine with a different backflash. If memory serves me you need 45 balls for it. You won’t get parts unless very lucky but if it’s complete you probably won’t need any. Most probs can be fixed in some way or another without resorting to new ...

Jokers Wild - star amusement company

I seem to have worked on quite a few trade stimulators recently. Just finished getting this one going and doing a bit of tidying.

Re: Lock ID

Thanks - I think that might be the one I sent a few allwin locks to to be re keyed. I’ll remove the lock and send it off to them. Cheers

I’ve used Martin from retro logistics quite a few times. He’s the goto guy in the pinball community. 07748 521550

Lock ID

I’ve got this vending machine. Trying to decide whether to smarten it up with some new paint or leave it in peace. Either way I need a new key/lock. I picked it to get it open but now need to re key (about which I know not a lot) or get a new lock. I did have a contact of someone near Huddersfield (...

Re: Bollands Oracle

Interestingly the locks are the same on this wooden one to mine. Same type and position. It's true that the lock plate is from a metal case one when the lock is on the front. But I don't think the case is a repro as looks identical to this one above.
The mech is different though. Confusing!

Re: Bollands Oracle

Funny, I was in the auction at Cheffins and handled this. My view was this had been modified as mentioned probably new case at least some of it and a few bits missing like the window surround. Looked the part though. I had assumed the four slots in the auction came from the same source as there was...

Re: "Juicy Fruits" wall machine

Brilliant. Looks really good. I’d be interested in the principle of how you used the diode matrix with the selector. Looks great! I may be able to find some fragments of the matrix design - the scraps of paper are around somewhere.... Be interested to see a rough sketch of the basic circuit if you ...

Bollands Oracle

So this just arrived in the post today, having won an auction last week. I’m guessing some may recognise it. I know little about it or how original it is. The spandrels in the corner don’t look original and unbeknown to me it’s been converted to use 20p’s so not sure where it’s been in use. The plat...
