I bought something similar from ALDI, around 12 years ago & it's still going strong. Not the most accurate, but for £35, I won't complain.

As livnginthepast said, it will be one of the score reel switches. If you slide the 1's score reel out, you can manually advance it upto the 9 position, then advance it one more, & check the stack of switches, one of them should close but often they are out of adjustment, or dirty. P.S. Don't us...

If the glass did break, it would be straightforward to replace it with a flat piece of glass cut to the right size, but obviously it wouldn't have any graphics, like its German ancestors.
