Re: Conversion to Euros
Thanks for that info pennymachines, that's really interesting. Would you say then, that machines running on 6d were or are more common than a bandit running on an old 1d coin, say? Did any bandits run on an old half penny, silver 3d, or even smaller, the farthing??

Re: Conversion to Euros
I thought about the 3d coin and so far haven't seen a bandit on fleabay for sale on 3d (and I've been looking for a couple of years). Do you think the 3d isn't popular from the point of view that people do like to use their old bandits as a money box on new currency? Both my bandits, the Jubilee and...

Re: Conversion to Euros
A Euro is very thick in depth, I cannot think of any old UK denomination coin that comes close to the thickness of a Euro. You would get away with running a 2 cent coin on a Jubilee mk1 on 6d, without having to hack the machine but payouts would be incorrect. Just stick a bit of card / (vinylays bet...

I can supply you with a 6d denominator badge for your machine and any other parts that you require, however it is not a sega case but a British made copy so would not have a Sega badge on it. Thanks, that would be great i will PM you. So when you say British made copy, is it a Buckhingham machine t...

Re: Old UK slot machine located Picadilly Circus
Great flyer, well done. Basically what they are trying to say is "this machine will fleece your customers in very little time and you will coin it!". Much appreciated, I will try and get down to Pagham and get a video of this machine working which is still in use. The machine is still in o...

Re: Mills / Sega Slots - Why no coin return/reject button ?
Now badpenny, you tease me with why jennings didnt have them either... so what was the reason ?!?! Was it a complete trust in the excellence of their products, or to keep manufacturing prices down, or to keep the arcade attendant busy running about with keys to dislodge jammed coins.. Come on,...

Mills / Sega Slots - Why no coin return/reject button ?
Playing on my jubilee mk1 today, coin gets stuck, i push the coin reject button and joy, works a treat everytime, coin returned..throw coin in the DO NOT USE BIN. Now my sega, when a coin gets stuck, there are two options... give it a gentle thump OUCH.... on the side to dislodge coin into reject tu...

Re: BRYANS PAINT FOR INTERNAL MECH
Oh blimey, Hammerite... Well I've learned something new today. I suppose because it was cheap, down and dirty to use, no brush marks and no spraying... I can see the logic in it.

Re: BRYANS PAINT FOR INTERNAL MECH
I'm a relative newb to this game but I have always experienced that when Hammershite comes into play things go badly wrong. Great for old garden gates, makes me nervous when people contemplate using it on anything precious.

Re: SEGA BANDIT - HANDLE NOT PULLING, COIN PROBLEMS
Ah Badpenny, I've been praying you would come on here and help me out! Much appreciated. So, there's definitely a spring missing. I'm just amazed that something as simple as a pin can activate the beasty. It must be extremely fine to get the pin length or spring tension correct. Can you see anything...

Sega Bandit - Handle not pulling, coin problems
Hi guys. I've got my second bandit, I think it's a Sega, you experts might think it's something else. I paid £50 for it from a private advert, it had 350 sixpences in its original cash box, lock present, no key, so a quick jaunt to the old lock smith to sort that out. History :- Machine been at a re...

Tarting up a jubilee bandit - repainting
Guys, im contemplating going for a bit of a wreck of a jubilee on ebay which will need cosmetics to its outer casing. Can i just ask you guys about repainting. How would you go about repainting, would you? 1) remove paint to bare metal and take to a paintshop to do the business using closely sympath...

Re: Old UK slot machine located Picadilly Circus
Hey that's a good idea - give me some time and I will get down there and film these machines for you. I remember when I was 16, that's 26 years ago going down there on my Vespa scooter, and regularly being banned for using reel strips to aid my winnings on the modern machines when they nudged. I'm o...

Re: Old UK slot machine located Picadilly Circus
And there is one of these Streets Wheel Em Ins still in use where I live in an arcade in Pagham, near Bognor Regis, West Sussex, England working on the new 2p coin. Pagham arcade is tiny, near the seafront, been there for 40 years. If you didnt know it was there you would miss it. They also have a r...

I was a complete newbie on here and these guys gave me all the answers. I have a jubilee Mk1 'Silver jubilee' double jackpot 6D machine, since seeing advice its now fully complete and working. It took me years to take the plunge, i just sat back on Ebay, waited for a bandit to come up near to home (...

Re: What's missing from this picture?
You could try posting on a German site, using freetranslations.com I've used it for communicating with French, German and Spanish ebayers and is surprising how you get by, they sort of get the idea. Just use as many simple English words as you can when you use it. I will try it for you. "Can yo...
