Re:

It's clear that M2 is on to something with this site and this specific thread, so here goes: "I'm looking for a Bryans Bumper, preferably here in the United States. I know my chances are slim but has anyone seen one that I can purchase? Must be reasonable price." There was a Bumper for sa...

Plasti-kote do a crackle finish which is a reasonable match for Bryans. Not exact, of course, but Bryans did different colours. You just spray it on.

I remember playing these in England in the late 60's early 70's. I always imagined there must be a complex arrangement of chains or guide wires inside. Is there a motor for each player or is it one large constantly running motor to which you engage your players by a sort of clutch arrangement when ...

Re: WW1 and WW2 related machines

Woody - Melvyn Wright has posted an original advert for your machine in a topic about B.M.Co automatic allwins, but it looks like the topflash and the case are both different. The machine is called The Flyer, not The Airplane. Also your case is completely different from the usual B.M.Co cases. I've ...

Yes, same here. Whatever it was, it was nothing to do with our individual computers.

But how come it only affected some people and not everybody?

On quite a few occasions I've signed in, but when I posted it came up as Guest. So maybe it's not always the poster's fault or intention.

If I spend too long on writing a post, I sometimes seem to be signed out again by the time I press Submit.

I'm finding that the window and left-hand buttons come up almost immediately, with a plain white background. After a minute, the grey speckled background will appear. Then from 1 to 3 minutes after that, the page may or may not appear. Often it only partially loads and the bottom half is missing, th...

Incidently, what would the difference in price be between a Mills and a Sega Hi-Top? I've not noticed much of a difference in the past. Probably £50 - £75 but nothing spectacular. I thought the machines were identical apart from the badge and stampings. And is it true what it says in the listing, ...

The coin slot itself can reject oversize coins, so you only need to reject coins which are under diameter and under thickness. To reject underdiameter coins, they are rolled down a runway which supports them only at the extreme top and bottom of the coin. The chute is tilted to one side, so that any...

I think you might need to get a new ROM. These modern coin acceptors work by monitoring the eddy currents generated by the coin as it travels down the chute. Samples of good coins are stored in an internal ROM and if the coin matches one of the samples the coin is recognised and accepted. You are un...

Like I said above - sell it and move up! Some machines are just not worth the bother. Get a classic. Suggest a Rol-A-Top or something. :) It's very common for the cheaper machines to be hacked about with and modified during their lifetime. Jackpots removed, escalators removed, payouts modified, gold...

Instead of all these pointless modifications, when don't you just sell it and buy something better? This isn't a desirable model anyway. You would probably be better off with a Mills or a Sega Hi-top, and it would cost you less than trying to patch this one up. Just have fun with it for what it is, ...
