Re: Thread size used in Jennings bandits?
I have had a look at my parts catalogue for the Jennings Chief and Galaxy and the following fixings are listed: # 6/32, #8/32, #10/24, machine screws. All of the above are American National coarse threads which are the same as English UNC threads. If I remember correctly, #10/24 can be replaced usin...

Re: Sega on Ebay - What is that ugly bit at top ??
Hi
The meter is mechanically operated by the coin advance bar on the mech,
20 plays adds 1 to the meter. The two pictures show the meter on a Sega light-up and a Continental.

Re: The "Bogey Three" Golf Game...Win a Golf Ball
If you have a look at patent GB 855428 it says the patent was granted to a
Henry Hall of Potwell House, West Walberton, Arundel, Sussex,
formerly of Eastwick, Esplanade, Bognor Regis on Nov 30 1960.
Hope this helps

Re: Getting a handle sleeve off bandit
Hi Malc, Here is the scan of the glass. The switch that I was talking about is located behind the reel stop levers and bolted to the base. When it is operated, it turns on the bulb to light the special award sign. The picture is not very good but it should give you an idea to see if your machine has...

Re: Getting a handle sleeve off bandit
Hi malc This was the first slot machine that I ever bought in 1984. I had wanted a slot for a while but could not find anybody willing to sell me one - this was before the internet and ebay. Every Thursday, I would be at the newsagents to get the latest Exchange & Mart. Then one day there was an...

Re: Getting a handle sleeve off bandit
Hi Malc,
I have also used the two nails and a bit of wood method to get the boss off. My machine is a mark 10.
Here is a picture to give you an idea of the paint scheme.

Re: Getting a handle sleeve off bandit
Hi,
Is it the Sega Continental that you have just bought? If it is, my Sega has a threaded boss sleeve, so you just need to unscrew the boss. The two bolts only hold the bracket to the case. Hope this helps

Re: Sega paintwork
Hi, You can buy red and black wrinkle paint from ]Frost restorers equipment - it costs £9.50 per tin. The red is a darker shade than the original, but it still looked better on my machine than the red and silver brushed paint finish the machine came with. A word of warning to anybody trying this pai...

Bryans pot the copper
Hi, I am thinking of building a pot the copper. Does anybody have one that they could take some measurements off. I would need the length and width of the main body, and the size of the tilting tables. Hopefully with these, I can scale the patent drawings up to full size. Also could somebody tell me...

Re: Sega on Ebay - What is that ugly bit at top ??
The plate is covering the hole where the progressive meter should be. The top glass is also incorrect - it should be a progressive glass (the one fitted is the same as on my Diamond 3 Star).
