Stolen machines

I've split and moved this post because it seemed irrelevant to slot machines and the two-year old stolen machines thread - Site Admin. sod the law,if culprit is found or known give them a good kicking and break both arms, that will stop em for a while.Im afraid sometimes the law is just not enough f...

Re: 1960s Wolff Jupiter

The paint on that looks like one I restored years ago with brass and gold leaf finish, then laquered. If it is that one it would be clean as I stripped the lot, maybe 17 years ago. I sold it to Paul in Essex and he had it years. He did say he was moving it on, I think it is that one.

Re: 1956 Duo-Mat

If anyone needs pics of a Duomat, mine is mint, original glass and not scratched out for English instructions, bright colours and still on original coinage. I've had it about 15 years. Oh yes, Pennymachines, I still have the Bingolette I got from you in 1999, also mint and never let me down, even wh...

Re: Jackpot allwin edges

Formica is not easy to come by. I got mine from a place Northampton way 6 years ago when I did my water wheel. Massive range and good prices. I still have brochures, if you want details I can email them.

Re: jackpot allwin edges

Hi Keith, I would get some of that wooden edging that's patterned with a router. I'm guessing it's about 18mm, or just use T moulding, maybe in chrome. You can get the cutters for the slot on ebay, or get the wooden edging of your choice and spray with chrome paint (odds and ends) or the like which ...

Re: Bell-Fruit Manufacturing Co. bandits

Worth what you can get really. At a guess about 40 quid. If it needs work even less. And that is if you can advertise without it being taken off. You need a licence now.

A different kind of coin pusher

I'm always trying to think of something different, and I've come up with a rotary pusher. Never seen one. I got a really nice bearing unit from a display cabinet at work, so basically it will be a half circle that moves round each way, Coins that fall inside the playfield go in the coin box and coin...

Re: Vintage Bell Fruit Machine - Anything worthwhile ?

Anything is worth what someone will pay. The bell fruit machine in question as it is about 150 to 200. You can make it worth more but will cost you the extra and more to restore.

Re: Advice on old coin operated horse needed please

Not working and neglected is not worth much. There are lots of kiddie rides on ebay that don't sell or go cheap. This needs so much work there is no scope for profit, so you need someone who just loves it. Won't be that many. I would start at 50 quid, just to get rid. I'm afraid most people search f...

Why did Clive give it up? Was it just not making money or was the council too greedy as usual and forcing out small operators :!?!:

Re: Southport Pier crap machines

If I had a place like Southport Pier I would fill it with my machines. Mine work and are in good condition. And give the public fun for value. This arcade if you can call it that is letting the side down.

John was a lovely guy, genuine and helpful. I saw him regular, he bought one of my home-made pushers. I was gutted to hear he had passed on. Shame about his prat of a son. Don't like him at all. !PUNISH!

Southport Pier crap machines

I went on holiday recently to Southport. Saw some old machines on the pier and they were bad. Who puts machines out that don't even have reel strips on? I played on three and none worked. One did not play at all; one took my money but did not work and the one that did work did not pay on a win. Poor...

Re: Why our hobby should carry a health warning!!

I had one of these many years ago. Bit boring, as the machine tends to do everything - all you do is feed it with coins..But I have seen these go for £300 recently on ebay - hell knows why. They don't have cabinets in Japan, just the main door, which they can fit and remove it in seconds, so when th...
