Re: Elephant House Auctions
Ive never been able to go to the elephant house auctions and I know a lot of the stuff is in poor condition but I have to say that looking at the prices on the last auction there are some bargains espically for those of us looking for restoration projects. several german wall bandits for less than £...

Re: Jubilee Riviera -moving back to 5p / schilling?
Hi and welcome to the forum, Raj is right, a problem to convert, although not impossible. The parts you would need to replace would be the coin accepter, the coin tube, all the slides (if this machine uses slides - can't remember offhand) and perhaps the coin entry. In my view the best coin to run a...

Re: Brings a tear to the eye
The arcade I worked in back in the early '70s paid out in cigarettes on all the pinballs and the ageing Bally Bingo (3 replays got you 6 fags, nothing for 1 or 2 replays but you could play them off).

Re: Mills Extraordinary, a few questions
Thanks for the info andy, very interesting. There are three numbers on the case, two on the wood, (one on the handle side one on the base). Both are A127 and one on the chrome side rail 34474. I intended to buy a token release bar but the payout discs have certainly been changed and there is no slot...

Mills Extraordinary, a few questions
As most of you know by now, I like to buy old beat up machines and restore them to the best of my ability, but every now and then I buy a machine for my collection, because I like it. Yesterday I got a machine I have long wanted, a Mills Extraordinary. I love the Art Deco style. extra.jpg Couple of ...

The picture on the front might be worth something. Cars on Freemont St! Those were the days. I once stayed in one of those hotels and the traffic noise kept you awake nights, if you went to bed that is. It's all sanitized now :#: Don't know about the value but doubt it's much. I suppose it is electr...

Re: reels slowly spinning etc.
It's not an unusual problem and usually easy to fix, but the problem is it's all a bit vague at the moment. It could be anything from the handle itself, through the resetting mech, to the main cross bar and the reels themselves. The most likely, from what you say, is that it's loading and releasing ...

Re: Newbie question about Sega
The way to do those main bar bearings is to slightly loosen one then remove the other, pull back the main bar and clean the inside of the bearing. Clean the visible part then very lightly grease the bearing and replace. Leave a little loose and do the other one, then tighten both. If you haven't don...

Re: Sega Diamond 3 Star
I notice there is a 5p escalator for sale in the Elephant House sale. I won't be there, but if you can find a forum member who is, I'm sure they will bid for you. It is for sale with a 6d esc. If someone will bid for us, I will take the 6d (at a reasonable price) and send the 5p one to you.
