Hi there. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
I recently bought a novelty candy vendor from an auction house, together with 1970s rotten sweets...
After a quick check and a new power lead, plugged it in, and was pleased to see it fired into action after a few tweaks. Although it soon became apparent the carousel wasn't turning... probably due to the fact the motor is missing! which is separate to the grabber motor.

Can anybody supply me with a picture and or any details of the missing motor. I'm sure I won't be lucky enough to find an original motor but will probably have to have one made.

Exhibit Supply Co. generally used KLAXON motors on the GB-spec machines.
Any universal (AC/DC) brush motor of about the right physical size should do.
Is the rheostat still there?
What you will need to know is the speed. The number of RPM needed to turn the drum at an appropriate speed.
This will then dictate the required gear-train ratio.

I doubt you will find it easy to get a working motor as per the original. You could replace it with a modern Parvalux geared motor. The original motor would have had some speed adjustment via a slide resistor. You can't do this with a Parvalux motor. What you need to do is turn the flat strip connecting rod by hand, and work out the final speed of the rotating prize disk, and then find a suitable speed geared motor. I would "estimate" the final working speed of the prize disk would have been about 4 or 5 RPM, but to be honest the final speed is not critical.

Parvalux motors are excellent, and usually come with reduction drive attached.
They ARE available for AC/DC, suitable for use with a rheostat; you can tell by the serial number.
eBay usually lists a few. The Parvalux web-site will give you the required information.
The type used to turn Kebab-shop spits is probably just the job.

That's really useful info guys, much appreciated. Bizarrely, Parvalux are very close to where I live and I used them many moons ago to replace a 1970s Bryans crane motor... so very handy.
