Jennings Governor Question
Jennings Governor Question
Hi all
I have been on the mooch for a nice Jennings Governor of late.
Seen a few on ebay and one of them states in description:-
``Jackpot is a guaranteed handfill jackpot, correct as per original top award card @ £3.50 [ie 7x50p coins]``
I have not seen one close up but love the look of them. So question.......
Are they all Handfill Jackpots???? or do some feed the jackpot from the coin tube.??
Thanks

Re: Jennings Governor Question
The vast majority of Jennings Governors have a double jackpot. When the first (visible) pot is dumped it is refilled from the hidden pot above. So the lower pot is filled from the upper pot which is automatically filled from the coin hopper overflow. Unlike Mills bandits, the jackpot is part of the main mechanism. Some casino models had hand fill jackpots.

Re: Jennings Governor Question
If the handfill jackpot is visible then it's quite rare and desirable as there is a lock in the indian head which you take off to reveal the hole for filling the jackpot, but often on a machine used in the UK it's a hidden token/jackpot tube thing which has replaced the original visible jackpot, this being hacked off to make room for the token/jackpot tube.
Re: Jennings Governor Question
Thanks Dave, Interesting info.
Theres one a ebay at the mo and just wondered if it was normal to have the handfill.

Re: Jennings Governor Question
Hi Malc
yeh watching that one mate.
He sold one in December on ebay, its looks like the same machine though, even down to the crack in the jackpot glass? If it don't go silly I will have a bid as other than that it looks a nice machine.
Is changing the glass a problem?
