Machine Mart sweet allwins identified
Machine Mart sweet allwins identified
This Allwin sold on ebay before Xmas and I never got round to asking if anyone knew the maker of this machine. Unusual brass hardware. Is it possibly Kraft??? Quite like the industrial look of it and appeared in good condition.

Re: Win an Aero
It's a Shefras machine (Amusement Machine Mart) - one of an apparently large range of allwins produced from the '50s into the '60s, the two best known being Extrawin and Crackerjack. If you look closely at the 'unusual brass hardware' you'll see that it's standard stuff with the chrome almost entirely worn off. Given the need for re-chroming, I can't help feeling that the machine sold for a little too much.
Cadbury's top flash

Does anyone have a picture of this allwin they would be willing to share please so I can see what the top flash is meant to look like? I've never come across one of these anywhere before.
Thanks.

Re: Cadbury's top flash
Clearly another Morris Shefras (Machine Mart) allwin, but not one I've seen before.
Re: Cadbury's top flash
It's a nice allwin and has an unusual payout system in it. Not seen one before. It's on a strange angle, can't show it atm as the machine is stripped.

Allwin ID please

Can anyone identify this allwin please, or is it just a mix of bits? At first I thought Ruffler & Walker, but now not sure. If it is a recognized allwin, is that top glass correct? Thanks in advance.

Re: Machine Mart Chocolate & Spangles allwins identified
I've merged your query with the above posts, which provide the answers. If the top sign is screen printed on glass, it's right.
The example below does not have the correct top sign.

Spangles twins? It looks like I've just learned the source of Ian Fleming's inspiration for some minor villainous characters in one of his James Bond novels.

Don't think it's a R & W. Hardware is different and also the cabinet (see pics below of typical R & W sweetie Allwins). Any pics of the mech., as that will tell if it is R & W?coppinpr wrote:At first I thought Ruffler & Walker, but now not sure

I don't think there's any doubt that it's Morris Shefras. See also Cigaretto, Speedway and Chocolate in the Museum.

Thanks Mr P. I never thought to look at Shefras. I don't know why? The top glass was a good clue.
Sweets allwin

Saw this sweetie allwin recently. Quite an unusual mech for delivering the tube of sweets - not seen a mech like this before. Reminds me of some of the heavily engineered mechs from Shefras.
I assume that the main pay-out lever arm connects to a worm gear rod that would turn the wheels when pulled.

Re: Sweetie Allwin
The casework is definitely Morris Shefras/Machine Mart. Not sure about the top sign.
