Bryans Bullion parts needed
Bryans Bullion parts needed
I have bought my first 100% mechanical machine. I've always wanted one, so I've took the plunge. It's a Bryans Bullion, I think it's complete, apart from the handle to turn to make it all kick off has anyone got a Bryans Bullion handle please? They want to sell please / or where to acquire one please.
Reply or inbox me please.
Thanks in advance
Richard

I didn't want to assume that was your advert.
Good luck with your hunt.

Re: Bryans Bullion help please & handle?
Was the handle just used on the Bullion or others too?
And how does the handle attach to the machine please, as I found this one that sold in 2013 or earlier and it has a knob fashioned out of wood??

It's similar to the payramid type too Richie
Think you may struggle finding an original mate
U may have to make one up

Re: Bryans Bullion help please & handle?
Thanks bob, I don't mind waiting, and I won't mind in the meantime using an alternative. I'd just like to be able to play the machine. Without something I am scuppered.
How does it fix onto / into the machine please? Does it have a hole in it and a grub screw and attaches to a shaft/spline within the machine at the back of the front door? As you know, this is my first penny machine venture, so I know jack sheeeeeet.
Thank you for replying and the time it's taken you to do so.
Hoping someone can help me either now or in the future.

Re: Bryans Bullion help please & handle?
No worries
It will prob be a bar connected to handle and the other side a hole in
The bar and the connection
With a pin going through the centre of both
Good luck

Re: Bryans Bullion help please & handle?
I think you could use anything that has a round shaft on it mate, it fits into a pinch bolt sort of thing I'm sure so if you get a bit bar the right diameter and make something as a handle it should work, I will have a look at mine soon and post a picture of how it fits
Re: Bryans Bullion help please & handle?
It just goes into a pinch bolt. The shaft isn't very long - only about 50mm (or 2" to the older members), about 10mm diameter, dunno what that is in old money. lol
Re: Bryans Bullion help please & handle?
That's a nice 'Bullion' you have there.
Good to see one still on Old Penny.
Worth getting the right handle for, eventually.
Have you asked Henry Powell? He has a 'Bullion' or two, somewhere in the Cave!
In the meantime, you could try an autojumble. The window winder handle for some of the BMC cars
of the '60s is about that size, and better than a doorknob.

Thanks for the reply, and the information within and the tip about a BMC window winder. I will try and contact the person you mentioned. I did speak to a showman yesterday, and he said again "I've never seen one with one missing" .. ha ha. I live in hope In the meantime google going to get some hammer, thank you.

Replacement Bryans Bullion cabinet
Topic merged - Site Admin.
I need to acquire a replacement Bryans Bullion cabinet, by either making myself or finding one built. Any drawings or threads about self building please? or does anyone have one available? Don't matter if battered or bruised just complete without woodworm as the cabinet I have is tinder after severe woodworm.

Re: replacement bryans bullion cabinet
Should be a little easier to find an empty Bullion cabinet than a handle!

Re: Screws for Bryans machine
I use E C Pitcher Ltd. They stock most types of decently engineered slotted screws, old fashioned fasteners etc.
