The Wonders List
Re: Wonders pictures
Well, something allwin related, another machine repatriated.
I do like these giant allwins, so much more fun than the smaller types, this one being in perfect original unmolested condition.... Thanks Holland.

Yes the Honest Joe is nice. I also have one and another one finished at an auction near me yesterday and sold for £770, so popular items. I see there is one at Coventry as well this weekend..... Watch the stampede.

Wonders Fore on ebay
had couple bids on this ebay machine noticed though that triangular wonders badge botched over lost ball hole surely not meant to be there is it covering dmage to backflash?
Re: Wonders Fore on ebay
i have no idea....... i did notice the payout piece has the lock in the center rather than on the left hand side.
Re: Wonders Fore on ebay
Was thinking about it but I had the same concerns. It sort of looks okay but that sticker looks decidedly odd. Anyone here buy it?
Re: The Wonders List
Thanks. I've never seen one before but the fact that it is in resources suggests it may be a more common machine. I wonder what the full machine looks like?

Re: The Wonders List
Since scanning that flash, I never got around to reassembling the machine...
It would appear to be fairly uncommon (like a lot of later Wonders allwins) because I can't find any other picture, either here or on the web.
Another late and rare one - Wonders Pioneer.

Well, that's one I have never seen before. But. they are like buses and no doubt they will turn up at various auction houses from tomorrow.
Re: The Wonders List
I bought a new machine last night. It should arrive sometime this week. It was on ebay and I would imagine, like me, a few people would have recognised it was unmistakably a Wonders cabinet and mech. What sealed it for me though was the small clue at back of the artwork where it appears the original backflash is still in place (I will be more certain when it arrives). Although not on the list here (another one for Mr PM to add), I would say it is a Supreme Cup, a picture of which can be found in Resources. It's a shame about the Jet Play flash but another one to the collection . While on the subject, did Wonders, like Bryans, ever number their machines? I only ask as resto at the moment marked on the inside and the edge of the door, maybe by an operator??

Nice work Sherlock!
I bought a card giving "Palmist" Fortune teller, many years ago, which had three previous art works behind the current one. Which was a nice surprise.

Re: The Wonders List
Here's a Supreme Cup gleaned from another thread.
Like Widget's allwin (below) and Polaris' new machine, it has a simple plate coin slot (rather than the cast 1D slot, typical of Wonders), which helps to confirm this model was made before they produced that casting. I've added it to the list and look forward to seeing the restored machine.

Re: The Wonders List
Nice looking machine. Way too far for me, but the Olly Whales backflash is a much nicer theme, if in good condition, unlike most. Maybe best to leave, as it looks great.
Re: The Wonders List
I agree treefrog, the Jet Play backflash is attractive and I will at some point scan and tidy it for Resources. Wonders machines have more appeal for me personally though - I'm on a mission to collect them.

Re: The Wonders List
I started restoration on Supreme Cup and wondered if anyone who has one of these can help me out with some pictures of the backboard and mechanism. Mine appears to be a crudely made replacement and I would like to redo it closer to the original. Like the one pictured (gleaned from another thread), it has an extra hole maybe for a free ball, unlike widget's example which does not. I'm trying to make sense of mine as the hole is blocked and maybe of no use?
