Deluxe chrome bell, mid forties.

Yes, it's either Deluxe Chrome Bell, manufacture date is 1943, or a Deluxe Chrome 1939. From the photos I can't see any difference. There was another, very similar model called... wait for it.......The Chrome Deluxe which had a circular escalator.

This machine has number 64261 on the top of it maybe this could help date it. Was this machine used in the uk on an airbase as its on 50cent coin or maybe a casino in USA seems a lot of money back then or was it?

Possibly someone realised the US 50 cent mech would convert to the UK Penny easily and shipped it over for that reason when it was a cheap second hand machine. I have a US 50 cent Caille New Century Detroit dating around 1905 that I'm certain was shipped to Aust in the late 20's or 30's for just that reason. Nobody was going to operate a high end machine like that on Penny back in 1905! A lot of US 1 cent machines turn up in Aust and the UK for the same reason as they will operate quite easily on the UK/Aust 6d without major conversion.
