It seems 8 of them were out shopping at the time.

It is interesting that this is clearly a working machine, as described by the seller, and yet it has got through the ebay police cordon

There is an alternative ...... just change what you collect, there are other just as exciting collections out there ......slotalot wrote:This is the only way to get it sorted once and for all http://www.pennypetition.co.uk/
Yes you're right!!!!!!
This is a meeting of Banana Label Collectors, and let's be honest do they look any stranger than the photos I took of us at Coventry last year?
What's more, not a hernia between them, and I bet oodles of spare room at home.
Toilet Seats
Burp!
I was thinking of collecting e-petitions until I found this site and was insulted to find we weren't there!

You've almost converted me BP.
Not sure which I prefer - the toilet seats or this slot machine.

Re: Bottom of the Slots - The Hall of Shame
Ignoring the dire case, there seems to be the guts of an old coin drop machine that could be restored to something resembling its former self, with a little effort.

Now I've had one of these and they are not as bad as they look. They are R&W made, very late '50s when everything modern looked like a TV screen. You can get green, blue, red and yellow ones and they light up great, as a decoration in a '50s-style diner, fantastic. They, of course, use old German mechs.

I agree with you Paul.
I've had a blue one, which pops up on eBay every couple of years. I think they are much nicer than the Duchess or King versions that appear more often.
That particular one is rather grim though, especially as it is missing its payout tray, makes it overpriced as well me thinks.

Quite like these coloured plastic lite-up type machines, not owned a R&W version yet. The one below is a real monster, "King Kong".
It seems to be a mixture or various machines, with Bell-Fruit badges, a gooseneck coin entry and the glass window from a Mills machine, which of course normally is on the inside of a machine... Certainly not pretty.

Is this the ugliest allwin ever?

Rare, perhaps, but not my cup of tea at all.

Do you know it's a toy about 6" high.
They sell for about £30 at antique fairs.

Yes, I did - it's only a few inches high, although made to look big in the photo, but it's still an allwin and it's still ugly.
