LOCK DOWN TIME!

American, British, French or German? We want to know about it.

I have one of these which was in storage for at least sixty years and, I believe, all original apart from the motor. The top pediment is a bit different.

I was wondering how the slot market would be with the current crisis, but it is difficult to tell with the lack of machines able to come to the market. One did finish today on eBay and fetched I would say a very reasonable price, especially given needs some tinkering and a rotten base. Makes some of the Hi Tops I have sold over the last two years seem a bargain.....price £701....

Indeed. Seems a tad pricey. Supply and demand I guess. If indeed it actually sold for that amount. Frequently they are just bid-up, I would suggest.

I’m looking forward to the next slottie auction, although I fear it is going to be some while. Prices will be interesting. I’m guessing they will be all over the place, but who knows? If the predicted 20% reduction in house prices occurs, will slots follow through the same path?
