Re: Disc with sun, moon, and star symbols for Caille Ben Hur

Hello again, I believe the graphics you like were only used for the French market machines, so you'll probably have a lot more luck asking over there. As for printing out once you get the right artwork, I'd suggest printing onto white water decal paper as once this is applied it will conform exactly...

Re: Gearbox for Conveyor

So Andreas - you have a Fault! haha. I happen to be working on two examples right now. My own with original motor, and another for a customer that I had to find a motor suitable in my parts, because what was in his was garbage. The speed out of the original gearbox output running on 240 volts is 140...

Re: What is your dream machine?

Currently restoring another Conveyor and while cleaning the four wheels noticed that all the long wires had been bent to make the losing sections larger and winning smaller! Never seen this done before because why would you bother when all you can possibly win is your Penny back. The whole idea of t...

Re: Earth Satellite

Completed machine with blonde finished oak replicated as original, which I think very much suits the artwork and furniture fashion of late 1950s. Cabinet was 14 separate pieces of wood when I started - and never touched it with a piece of sand paper!

Re: BMCo auto prize payout allwin signage?

So as an update, the collector that consigned this to me got to see the machine in person before I found a buyer for him, and a few days later rang to say he wanted to purchase the marquee from me and keep the machine! I was happy because I'm sure he appreciates what I did more than anyone else in t...

The lock is fine, looks perfect from outside and fits snugly so just key it and move on with your life.

I have one of those, never knew it was Australian.
So you mean the B&W advert PM posted, that's by Bolland, but the floor model is an Aussie copy of that.

Re: Australian Manufactured Coin Op Machines

Thanks PM, I knew they'd copied it from someone but no idea who. There's enough differences that it wasn't just a Bolland that got revamped. They changed the coin entry for some reason so it doesn't enter the playfield top rhd.

Re: Australian Manufactured Coin Op Machines

This Cricket themed Penny flip machine is photographed here in a 1989 Antique Trader mag when it was going to be part of an exhibition at a giant fair in Sydney, then later to be sold. When I asked Bob Klepner about it he said he'd had the chance to buy it sometime in the mid 1980s, but he'd been pu...

Re: Guilt complex

If a short straight bandit handle is a 'dagger handle', what is the style called as depicted in the above 'film stars' bandit?....a nearly straight but kinky one? [ a serious question actually] A 30 year old parts catalogue I have calls the pressed steel versions "Gooseneck handle" and th...
