Re: 1933 Mechanical Slot Machine Restoration

Great replies on this video, especially key brilliant experience chaps on this forum, however, the guy who did the restoration whether being in it for the money or not is not is not essential for the cause. Keeping these great masterpieces going is so important and anyone who has the ability and kno...

Re: Silver Jubilee - strange payout?

Hi Guys, (with pics). Just starting to strip down and restore this bandit, but I have a few questions if I may ask. The inside of the main door has what looks like fixings for some sort of extrusion (middle of the door). What was this for? It leads up to the coin inspection aperture, so maybe for a ...

Re: Silver Jubilee - strange payout?

Thanks, yours looks fantastic. Signed by Mr Nutt Jr surely is history even though he was a knob! Prefer red as the reel unit strip edges are red, I assume original? And, you have the same coin inspection window! are these rare? Also, some idiot decided to remove one of the diamond fruit emblems from...

Thanks guys,

I'll sent you some pics in a mo. The paint needs in my view needs stripping, as to the the aluminium, polishing I think just needs good brute force!

Re: Silver Jubilee - Restoration....

Hi Guys, Ok, I’m going to finally plunge into restoring this bandit, love it bits! To date I’ve left the mech alone but only maintained it with just the odd oiling using 3 in 1 and sewing machine oil to the clock mechanism, plus adjusting the double jackpot mechanism to fill up both columns (fascina...

Re: Silver Jubilee - strange payout?

Again thanks, I guess the coin inspection function was a simplified version to a machine with an escalator?

My next plan is to get it re chromed and painted!

P.S someone on the forum suggested removing the payout tray for hidden coins, lo and behold, there was a approx 100 6d coins from 1940 onward!

Re: Silver Jubilee - strange payout?

Thanks for your replay, often thought what the 'mystery pay out' on the award card was!

One other question if you don't mind, Reels 1 & 3 have lemons but reel 2 does not, is this for the mystery prize feature?

Thanks, Brian.

Silver Jubilee - strange payout?

Hi, Can someone please help me, when i get on the win line the following; Orange - Melon - Orange it pays out x 10 coins? As far as i know all other wins are correct. Not sure if the reel bands are incorrect or is there a simple fix? I've attached a few images of my Silver Jubilee machine. Appreciat...

Jubilee

Hi, can someone please help, I'm currently using 3 in 1 oil for general maintaining my bandit but my question is can I use this on the payout slides or would Graphite spray / powder be more better suitable?

Regards, Brian.

Jubilee - Silver Jubilee

Hi Guys,

Just got hold of a Jubilee - Silver Jubilee and all is fine but it's missing one of the diamond shaped fruit studs on the front casting as per attached, can anyone direct me as to where I can get hold of one, also a couple of locks with keys?

Regards, Brian.

Re: Reels sometimes run sluggish?

Spent all day today cleaning the machine, took the coin mech out, decals etc but can’t get over the mechanics as they’re so fascinating, shame we’ll never see engineering like this ever! A friend of mine in the coin op industry has a Jennings with the cab shell in Perspex, apparently used for a show...

Re: Reels sometimes run sluggish?

Problem solved, at the back L/H side of the mech there is a bar to adjust the kick of the reels, I adjusted it so the reels kick faster!

Tried x50 10p coins and reels are not slowing down at all!

Thanks for your help, Brian.
