You be the Judge
judge.jpg At the risk of ending up in the Pokey, I relate the following event that happened years ago. I was at a high profile coin-op auction when I witnessed a dealer disable an expensive machine at viewing time. As a result, the perpetrator went on to buy the machine at a bargain price. I have s...

amusement park.jpg I am brokering an amusement park in the U.S.A. It has great potential but needs some English touch up, a little tinkering on the rides, plus lots of TLC. Who better for this rare opportunity than my fellow club members. Just a little soap and water plus add a few All-Wins and per...

rich gut.jpg I have visited many major museums but have yet to see a coin-op exhibit. These machines formed such a large part of our culture but could become unknown to future generations. Museums are crammed with dinosaur bones, Egyptian artifacts and old cars but nary a coin-op. So why not a few ...

dunce cap.jpg In my recent posting "Harpoon or Shaft" I inquired as to what could cause a DIGGER motor to run backward. NOT ONE REPLY so I called a local electrical supply company. Apparently, a motor will run backward if the negative and positive wires are reversed. If I am now the leadi...

I also wish to point out that a little "hanky panky" at an auction does not warrant a head chopping, especially, by that guy pictured in the cutoff pantaloons. ROGER

Re: Harpoon or Shaft ???
I found this article which shows that I am not the only one who finds that some WHALES abuse the bidding system by intimidating those collectors with limited budgets. ROGER P.S. Maybe Gameswat will now understand the difference between a good vs bad WHALE Intimidating the Competition.pdf

Re: Harpoon or Shaft ???
Hi Gameswat: Great question as to why my friend Ken Rubin never fell into that category which I faulted in my post. The main thrust of my post were those Whales who make a display of their wealth. They try to intimidate the little guys by their manner of bidding which is explained in my post. ROGER
