Re: Opening an old penny arcade in the UK
In practice, vintage arcades have operated gaming machines (including mechanical bandits) for many years now, without recourse to GC licensing. As far as I'm aware, this is possible because at least some local councils recognise them as primarily tourist/museum attractions, not gaming rooms.... An ...

Re: Opening an old penny arcade in the UK
Thanks for the replies so far. Having read a lot more on the subject on this forum and beyond, I still have the same questions, albeit a little more refined: Planning Usage: This would be in a permanent structure, rather than travelling. Which Planning use class is required? https://en.wikipedia.org...

Opening an old penny arcade in the UK
I've just turned 50. I've started thinking about what to do in my retirement which, unfortunately, is at least 10 years away. I have been toying with opening a small old penny arcade, more to give me something to do in my dotage rather than have any great commercial ambitions. I imagine it would wor...

Re: Wulff Jupiter wiring
Aaah...no - you speed read a bit a bit of my post I think....my problem is that the machine is constantly running - it never stops - the motor turns through the whole cycle then when it gets to the end of the rotation (where it should stop waiting for the coin operated switch to detect a coin) it ju...

Thanks. Here's the diagram and a close up of the connector next to the mech IMG_1003_zpsee919455.jpg IMG_1007_zps68068efa.jpg In the bottom left of the diagram there's a munze (coin) operated switch, but there's no switch attached to anywhere on the mech...and a connector that goes nowhere in the pe...

Re: Wulff Jupiter wiring
It's doing everything except....stopping....it clunks, whirrs, lights up, spins...goes through a whole cycle then when it's meant to stop and wait for a coin....it starts again, and again and again As the connector is close to the coin mech I thought maybe it should be connected to a normally closed...

Some more from mine...
The electrickery does indeed go straight to a transformer
I'd be interested if anyone else has anything connected to the connector block on the left side of the picture with the yellow and white wires going to it...

Hi There,
This is my Jupiter....and answers at least one of your questions...
Could I trade you for a picture of the area around the coin mech showing connections to any switches/wires?
Thanks
Guy

3.5v bulbs
Evening all Recently acquired a Love Test wall machine that has 3.5v bulbs in it. About half the bulbs are present, half missing. The originals are gold in colour and the remaining ones are mostly firmly embedded in their holders, but there are a couple of loose ones that screw into any of the remai...

Fantastic - If there was a prize for answering an obscure forum question with an equally weird answer in the shortest time, I think you won it this evening.
Thanks,
Guy.

Measuring sweets in supermarkets.....
Evening all Just picked up a nice Tuck Shop pinball and would love to put some tubes of... Polos, Refreshers... anything in it, but my local Tesco/Sainsburys/Costco doesn't have anything of the right length. They're all too long! I reckon anything from 8.7 - 9.7cm long would fit... but I can't find ...

Thanks Terry
I may give them a shout if I can't find anyone more local - I'm sure they'll do stuff by post, but it would be nice to find somewhere nearer home....anyone got a favourite chromer in the North West?
Thanks

No More Auctions???
Hi all I used to be an AAM subscriber for a few years and used to love the auctions that Steve ran. After AAM closed I visited the Southern Counties one that I found out about through this site.....but haven't heard of any more. Have they just stopped......or are they going on somewhere without me k...

How to use the arcade section
I've just worked out how to use the "Arcade" section!!!...I've been in there a few times, but every time I went I would see the curtains open, see a conveyor and a hand, and not work out how to do anything..... For those of you in the same quandry...press the triangle in the middle at the ...
