Re: Aristocrat Five shilling token
I had given up anyone ever responding. I'm in Chester and was at the auction but only got lucky on the Double Six machine which I will fully restored in time for the auction in 2025!! The Aristocrat tube is a little bigger than the old 2/- coin. I use some foreign coins at the moment.

It works on old pennies and if you guide the ball into any of the three slots it vends something. Any h...

Re: Coventry Auction - 29 November 2009
I hope to be there in Coventry on the 29th. To be honest I've looked forward to it since the minute I left last years. I also appreciate the hard work that is put into organising such a well run day and the shared advice given to those of us whose machines aren't working as well as they should. Keep...

Re: What slot did you get for Xmas?
My wife surprised me with this superb Rondomat bought from Harold in the High Peak. All year she has moaned about machines and begged me to say "this is definitely the last one". Still what a woman! This machine works like a dream and is so quiet. Pictue attached. Happy new year to all --B...

Re: Caille Ben-Hur
Thanks to all for the information. A friend has told me that he had a machine exactly the same some 20 years ago and he was told that some 200 machines were imported for the British market between the wars. Imported then may well have meant from either the US or France. For me, I played on one at th...
