Hi, I think that is the machine that was in the May 2010 issue of The Mechanical Memories Magazine, and was rewired by a very cleaver chap called Richard Brewerton. He would be able to help here, but not sure if he is still active in the hobby? :oops: I think you are correct with your guess, 2 black...

I doubt you will find it easy to get a working motor as per the original. You could replace it with a modern Parvalux geared motor. The original motor would have had some speed adjustment via a slide resistor. You can't do this with a Parvalux motor. What you need to do is turn the flat strip connec...
