Re: Stripping down Beromat mechanisms

I recently picked up a Lucky Strike Beromat conversion and I'm having trouble with the payout. It goes through phases of either paying 2 coins every time or paying out nothing at all. I don't know much about these machines, but it appears that someone has sped up the clock; the cycle is nowhere near...

Re: Hoopers Automatics

I wonder if the carved top on the above example has been added later to make it look older/more interesting. It just seems too elaborate and antique for Hoopers. It would be interesting to know if there are any marks on top of yours indicating the placement of a pediment. I bought the one from John...

Re: Sega Mad Money Jackpot

You may have got beyond this stage already, but I found this video invaluable when I was trying to sort out the jackpot on my Sega. www.s275603065.websitehome.co.uk/slot/video/mills_jackpot.asp https://youtu.be/DaqnR9lmX3s One of the key things seems to be to have it set correctly when you fix it ba...

Re: Cleaning up original paintwork

Thanks very much for the comprehensive reply Treefrog. I'll get some of that Simple Green. The main reason I went for it was that it was original unmolested as you say. You do take a bit of a chance with these auctions at the moment where you can't view but maybe that helped to keep the price down a...

Cleaning up original paintwork

Good morning I'd be very grateful of any advice around cleaning/polishing original paintwork. I have recently acquired a Mills Extraordinary that appears to have been stored in a garage for decades. There is no rust but it is just covered in years of grime and dust. The paintwork has to a large exte...

Sega Bell Hi-top reserve jackpot help

So I’ve been on this site for a while but this is my first time posting. I have a Sega Bell Hi-top working on 6d but the jackpot stopped working a while ago. Having taken the plunge to take it apart I managed to sort it out but, in working out what was wrong, I realise that it has a reserve jackpot....
