Re: Samson Slick missing part ?

I can't access my machines at this moment but looking at the photos I don't see anything obvious wrong? What isn't the machine doing? The lower relay that you show in closeup is there to release the coin when you win, and I can see a coin sitting there so that appears complete. If that is the sectio...

Re: Auction madness downunder!

A lot of the pieces in the auction were reproductions dating last 30 years, not many coin-ops of any kind but tons of other pieces. And prices were ridiculously high on nearly everything. The thinking is a bad case of Covid Lockdown Syndrome. Lately I've noticed quite a few people spending big on to...

Re: Genco 1934 "SUBWAY" pinball kickers help

Thanks all, now sorted with what i need. Managed to find another Genco game 3 months later than mine that had similar kickout tubes called Gridiron. And the IPMD had three photos showing the mechanism, which is same as what I'm missing. !!YIPPEE!!

Genco 1934 "SUBWAY" pinball kickers help

Just dragged this out of long time storage to finally deal with. Was given to me years ago because the owner gave up trying to fix. Biggest issue is the missing kicking mechanisms from both lower alloy subway exits. While the playfield shows a Patent number that's no help being for an earlier baseba...

Re: Look what I found

Nice find Attic, classic elegant machines these Pickwick's. And seems to be in nice unmolested original cond. When I got mine the previous owner had already had a go at "restoring", sadly he didn't know what he was doing at the time and hacked the wood with an 80 grit rotary sander!! Then stripped o...

Re: Novelty Merchantman Crane

I'm wondering what the purpose is for the metal plate. Wood will expand/contract with humidity changes so applying it directly to wood is not a good idea. Applying to a thick card stock makes sense but is it going to be rigid over time or will it bow, warp, etc.? I'm leaning toward sandwiching it b...

Re: Novelty Merchantman Crane

Hey Woody, all the Novelty cranes I've seen have had a print attached to thin cardboard, held in place with small quarter molding nailed on all edges, same molding that holds the glasses in place. Much easier to deal with if you replace it sometime.
