Re: JPM

Like you, I know nothing about this type of machine other than the fact that they usually have no value. It could of course be the world's rarest machine but I suspect there is something fishy going on here. A look at the bidding shows the return of two or three bidders with similar sounding names a...

Re: Paint stripper

My son in law is a professional specialist painter, just now he's hand painting a 1910 vintage car for a collector (the third he's done). I asked his advice and he says nothing is as good as Nitromores, strangely though he says never use the 'craftmans' version, always use the basic, it's much thick...

Re: Columbia Deluxe, Jackpot feed ?

as far as I can find out I need a straight chute that runs the coin against the jackpot slot, when its full the coins fall into the coin box. the more I work on this machine the more I love it, so complex in some ways yet so simple in others. take the anti-tilt mech on the top of the escalator, I as...

Re: Bureau de change

The columbia deluxe im working on takes old 6d or new 1p with out any conversions ,it will ,I think take 20p or 5p as well!! but I havn't tested that fully yet. At first glance this seems a failing in the design but in actual fact its not as the machine was designed to pay out the most recent coins ...

Columbia Deluxe, Jackpot feed ?

I'm now the proud owner of the Columbia Deluxe I'm sure you all saw on ebay. I don't know if I paid too much but I don't care as I love it. It seems to work perfectly but I'm wondering if I have a small part missing or not. The jackpot unit is working fine but the feed to it seems to be missing. Wer...

Re: Aristocrat 'Golden Dragon' how old?

Reg plate was first place I looked but for some crazy reason someone has painted over the reg plates with Hammerite! I know they started putting serious lights in their machines about 1970, so I guess I'll leave it at that. The mech was cleanest I've ever seen, almost like new... but was gummed up s...

Aristocrat 'Golden Dragon' how old?

I've just finished work on this Aristocrat Olympic Golden Dragon and I'm selling it on ebay, I just want to make sure I got the date right, I think 1970-73 would that be about right?

Re: collecting info

OK then, let's make a start. Open a long term thread just to hold the info, then start asking questions: that's the best way to load the thread with info. A question on the thread will almost always likely generate info from others. We would need dates, places and products for a start and see if it ...
