Re: Need a Guru
As there is much debate as to the model of this machine !PUZZLED! and I should have mentioned this earlier !SORRY! If you look at the payout slide, the words "Gift Slide" are cast into it. As Oliver made about 50 different variants of the allwin machine, and also started to sell spa...

Re: Caley's 'Marching Chocolate' rail carriage vendors
I have had my detecting head on again. Old man with too much time on my hands! I have spoken with the team at the National Railway Museum in York. They told me they had never seen one before, nor do they have one in there collections, but between us we did manage to find an address for the co...

Re: Now here is a 1d coin slot you couldn't miss
A bit more trawling the old newspapers and I found this description of the machines from Oct 1930. They were quite small and would not hold many bars.
The first batch of machines numbered 200.

Re: Now here is a 1d coin slot you couldn't miss
Caley's chocolate was handed to the troops in WW1 as a morale booster as Paul says, and after WW1 it was marketed as a rival to Kendal Mint Cake. It was said to give you strength on your journey. When it came to WW2, apart from the shortage of coco hitting production, the factory was destroye...

Re: Fortune Teller Machine Finished!
Nice looking machine. Well done on getting it finished and working. I know only too well how much work goes into a project like this. I would love to take a look under the bonnet. Are you going to make a video of the mech?

Re: Fruite Whirle
Baloons' at 0:21 must be a rarity. Yes, although its rarity has just gone down by around 33%. I owned one for a good number of years, although I no longer have it. There are two collectors up north who have each owned one for many years, and as far as I am aware still have them, so that makes three...

Re: Jamieson/Streets et al. Snap bandits
Hello, I have recently started a project to restore a Snap arcade machine as described in this thread. I have a similar problem to scorpa163 in that one of the leaf switches that is activated by the drum is broken. In 2022, moonriver said that he had some, is that still the case? Otherwise, I will ...

you could always try this, not sure if they come in the domed type. Might be worth a Google.

Re: Help needed for Rondo machine
As I don’t have the machine, and Rob who does have it, is a collector and loves them, but sadly he has very little knowledge as to how they are wired. This is not possible. This is how I would be doing it. We have 5 mains operated units in the machine. 1. The motor on the win lose selector. 2. The m...

Re: Help needed for Rondo machine
Hi Stuart Would this relay replace the ones missing? It's 12v. There you have me?? Without having the machine in front of me I can't be sure, but my gut feeling is 2 sets of contacts won't be enough. :!?!: The information I have given you is just the bare bones of how it should work. There will no ...

Re: Help needed for Rondo machine
I forgot to mention the function of the odds selector switch.
It changes the pins on the win lose selector from lose to win. This increases the "odds" of you winning.
The drawing shows the basics of operation.

Re: Help needed for Rondo machine
Looks like it is there to stop a second coin being put into the machine before the end of the game.
I am always happy to help were I can. It keeps the old brain ticking over.

Re: Help needed for Rondo machine
Yep, not the original transformer that came with the machine. Been replaced at some time.
I am attaching some drawings and notes that I have done for you. As I said before, they won't be 100% correct, but they will help you to make sense of it.
