Re: ZOLTAR

I'm not impressed at all, slightly better head than the horrendous American revamped version, but still no skill game element of shooting the coin into the opening and closing mouth off a movable ramp which would actually involve some clever engineering. An opportunity missed, and nothing like the o...

Re: Prospector

I shipped the EH Prospector back from the US along with some other machines.
The exhibition photo and letter are great, I love the animated figures above the play field.

Re: Waltzer tipper game

Like all good games it is addictive, the only downside from an operators point of view is that the motor is working all the time, as opposed to a tip the skittles which is stationary. Re: Jennings Sun Chief light up

You still can bring all kinds of fragile objects back in hand luggage with Virgin, and you can ask the cabin manager nicely before boarding if you can put it into the crew wardrobe. I've brought things back I could barely carry, that wouldn't even fit through the Xray machine and had to be hand chec...

Re: Alnwick Auctions

It also seems to be the case with fortune tellers and working models, especially our overseas friends with massive collections. In the '90s and onwards, huge quantities of British models ended up being shipped out with no regard to maker, quality or rarity and used as fillers for games rooms or deco...

Re: Super Skier

Action Line was by bell fruit. Dransfield did manufacture their own machines initially under Carfield and developed floor standing electromechanical/ early processor hybrid machines for their arcade and club operations that cleverly allowed them to change the glasses (and one quite basic pcb) with v...

Re: Super Skier

It has a large front opening door in a floor standing cabinet with a mechanical reel mech and a relay tray below. Two very long plastic coin tubes with solenoid payouts. It has an electromechanical credit unit which steps up and back down again, handle pull at the side. It is an acquired taste. I re...
