Big Dave most certainly is and is probably a member of this group.. I was lucky enough to buy a crane from him last year
and he showed me his fantastic collection of coin operated equipment...

Re: Peerless Pictures
There is one that appears regularly on Ebay. Bit high end on price. It looks like the front cover is missing something. It appears to be bare metal. I've never had the pleasure of seeing one in the fles. Would that be right, or would it have originally had some decoration?

Re: Rockola Jigsaw e-Bay ........ How many????
Well Bob...
I would have had one or two off you,Like we agreed, and perhaps a few bits more as I am new to this
but you decided to sell them from under me....
Personally I don't think you would have got any more for seven than you would for nine and you would have had my money too..

Re: Stolen Machines
I'm not sure I can add much more than I already have... Apart from the fact, as you mention, that each case is taken on its own merit and that English law is never black and white.. There are plenty of people that make a fortune out of exploiting the grey area.. Ultimately the decison can and often ...

Re: Stolen Machines
Sorry to hi-jack this post... Stolen goods remain stolen and anything gained as a result of those stolen goods also become stolen until they are passed into lawful custody. So, the machines are stolen... The money the thief realises from the theft is also stolen. The handler you buys the goods knowi...

Re: Stolen Machines
Why do you think it strange that a opportunist thief would steal coin operated equipment? In my experience a thief will take what they can get away with... Defences to the offence of handling stolen goods are readily available to look at on the internet so I won't bore you with replicating them here...

Re: Help wanted identifying a couple of machines
Thanks for the picture of the clock face.. I'll have to see if I can do naything with it.. Still haven't had time to explore the jackpot because I've been too busy fiddling with my latest machine. I can down this morning and it was sitting in the corner. I think that My Inter Space and my clock must...

Re: Stolen Machines
I'm afraid that for a lot of the time the real (or first) owner is at a disatvantage even if he can prove that he owned the item and that it was taken without his consent. What needs to be proved is that the new owner knew or believed the goods to be stolen. That's not easy when the new owner says he...

Re: Stolen Machines
I may know nothing about allwins but I do know a thing or two about crime... I would doubt very much that they were stolen to order. Unless you have some very dubious friends. My guess would be that they will eventually appear either at a boot sale or perhaps on Ebay. Even when they appear I'm afrai...

Re: Help wanted identifying a couple of machines
Thank you gentlemen for your wise words. Pennymachines - I think you may be right about the cabinet. The molding on the top is definately an add on and I have a little sign that says "pennies only" where the skill stop button would have been. My jackpot appears to be for decoration only al...

Re: Help wanted identifying a couple of machines
Hello Everyone.. I'm now going to bare my ignorance for all to see. Please be gentle we all had to start from scratch once upon a time. The clock machine that I said I wasn't going to buy, well I managed to get a very good trade on it. Well, I think so anyway. My question is, what do I have? I know ...

Re: Help wanted identifying a couple of machines
Thank Jerry That's about what I thought from your previous post.. I think I got a good deal without ripping anyone off. I assume that Allwins, Like most other coin operated toys don't like being on their own and once I have a pair they will start breding all by themselves. From Mervyn's post I can s...

Re: Help wanted identifying a couple of machines
Thank you for your quick replies and advice. I must apologise if I have broken etiquette by asking for a valuation on the forum. I read the rules before posting and was not trying to sell the item by the back door. I do belong to other forums where this is a perfectly acceptable practise. I did try ...

Help wanted identifying a couple of machines
Hello Group. First of all I would like to apologise for my very obvious lack of knowledge on all things Allwin/Slots etc. I have been lurking for some time now and read every post egarly. Today I have come across a couple of machines. The first is a Oliver Whales Allwin Inter -Space. I managed to br...

I'm really sorry to hear of your loss too..
As "An officer of the law" I am quite suprised to hear that they were taken..
They are not going to be the easiest thing to get rid of and must start showing up soon...
I do hope that you catch the bug again... Good luck

Re: rockola world's fair
I'm lucky enough to own a World Series (along with a couple more pre-war flipperless pins) and its game-play is far superior to anything of that era... I would love a Jigsaw/World Fair ,so if you happen to come across another one please let me know... They also made an Army V Navy which is mega rare...
