Re: BMCo identification

Looks like the cups are trying to imitate the airplane cup design. Coin entry was in many cases just a rectangular plate. If it had shaped/curved ends, it usually had the entry slot raised from the plate. It would be interesting to see pics of the mech to see if it has been altered or is the origin...

R & W Fill 'Em Up

Topic merged - Site Admin.

I have had a couple of these ball retaining pegs milled up and wondered if anyone has had any experience of fixing these into the machine and, if so, could give me any useful tips and guidance regarding the installing of these little chaps.
Thanks in advance.

One vital thing to remember toonboy, be exceptionally careful with the front glass. Almost impossible to find a replacement should it break.

I could probably fit it in, but Sally would have to go, and it's her house.
I bet it would take another £700 to stock it up to play.

Perhaps the £1k is to give to the buyer to take it away!

Re: Allwin identification

Interesting that many old machines that once served their working life in arcades etc have, over the last couple of decades, been altered from their original condition perhaps to make them more attractive to potential buyers. Take the BMCo below, started out (probably) as an 'Air Plane' or 'Flyer' ...

Re: Allwin identification

I always thought that the original O.W. sheet metal cut-outs were a poor representative of an aircraft, let alone a Spitfire.

Re: Punch and Judy Allwin - rough value?

Looks like a 'Nostalgic' machine, which is one of a series of machines made in China about 15 to 20 years ago. Nostalgic Machines Ltd were based in the Midlands and its owner was (or still is?) a member of this forum. As to value, I have not seen one for sale recently but others may have an idea, n...

Re: Punch and Judy Allwin - rough value?

Hello James and welcome to the forum.
Your question is rather like 'I have a car, can you give an approximate value'
It would be helpful if you could post photos of the machine, which would assist in identifying it.

A very nice machine tf. What determines the payout and is it more than one ball per go?

The 2p coin is almost 5mm smaller than the old 1d coin, so more metal would be available on each side of the slide.
