Jerry, is there a new link to subscribe to the mag online as the one on this site doesn't appear to be working anymore? Regards. Terry.

Re: Bollands Crossing the Alps

According to Paul Braithwaites book, BMCo made a machine called Climbing The Alps so this is probably one and the same. The gameplay looks similar to that of The Smithy.

Another old slot sees the light of day!

Found at Ardingly antiques fair this week. A bit wormy and in need of some tinkering but all original and complete. They are still out there!!

Re: Parkers? Double Your Money

Thanks for the help Tree Frog! I'll add your findings to the listing on ebay although I see that on the earlier posting the Kraft name was mooted also...doubt if we'll ever know for sure! It's a quality built machine and leans heavily on Bryans ideas for a variable payout. It also uses identical hin...

Pesky Spammers & Scammers

I've noticed recently that we've had a massive influx of new members registering on this site and thought it strange as this is hardly a fast growing hobby, is it? !PUZZLED! On closer inspection, it seems they are all spammers as they all have their own websites promoting SPAM..(as if we need THAT, ...

Re: Wonders Feast

Nice looking machine! You have to hand it to Wonders for their inventiveness. I know the engineering wasn't as good as Bryans but they definitely kept their machines interesting. They were built to last too! Here's another beauty: $(KGrHqV,!l8E2Euurd,,BNuz3Y)QDw~~_12.JPG WONDERMATICS "HONEST JO...

Re: Wonders Feast

It may have been a later one which tended to be housed in rather ugly painted ply cases but if it merely had the "roof" missing then I can't see a reason why it sold so cheaply. It wouldn't cost much to get a new one knocked up! Such is the unpredictability of ebay. Wonders machines seem t...

Were those both on ebay, Reb? I don't recall seeing them but would certainly have had a punt at £530!

Re: Wonders Feast

Maybe Dave just uses the Elephant House name as his ebay ID. I'm not sure you can change your name on there without a lot of fuss and bother! Oh...and the Double Six is now up to £850!! I've got one of those in the shed awaiting paint removal... I shall have to get my skates on! !!ESCAPE!!

Re: Wonders Feast

I "Wondered" when somebody would mention these! The Win And Place is most definitely a Wonders but may be badged up as a Ruffler & Walker as they distributed many makes of machine. The other two aren't as commonplace so should fetch a pretty penny! Saying that, they're being beaten by ...

Yes, I've had a look through the holes in the mechanism and it definitely looks hand painted in reverse. Must have been a real labour of love doing that!

Re: See Saw allwin

Evening, Chaps! Glad you like it as I did too when I first saw it almost a year ago. I'm not looking to sell at the moment as I'd like to clean it up a bit first. There is a bit of dead worm hole in the ply mech board but it was treated years ago and hasn't degraded the ply. I've had a quick play an...

See Saw allwin

Hi all... just acquired a batch of allwins from a collector that has owned them for at least 30 years. I recognise them all bar this one and wondered if anybody has seen one before? Instead of the usual winning cups it has holes in the playfield into which you steer the ball using three little see s...

Re: Bradley Challenger - High Price!

I seem to remember one going quite cheaply at Salisbury a few years back and I wished I'd bid on it. They are indeed a handsome machine and I see that somebody has listed a Bradley Crusader hopefully trying to emulate the Challengers success! Strange that these two machine share their names with Bri...

Re: Nostalgic parts

Nostalgic Machines are modelled on Oliver Whales machines. The company is run by Nigel Crew who I have always found to be a very friendly and helpful chap. He usually has some old machines too so possibly could help with original parts.

Good luck with your restorations!
