Domino, Lucky Dice, Juge de Paix, Roll Out the Barrel etc.

Hi, it looks more or less complete, The linkage is there for the dice shaker (he shakes it when you turn the handle). The main bit for the win (he raises his glass) is there, but the link is missing. This is just a bit of bent wire.
Cheers, Dave.

Revamped Beromat-type Bandits

These are recased German Beromats. I have had one with the maker's name on. I think these revampers came from Southend.

Hi, it's a 1960s Sega Manhattan, made in Japan. I think they made 3 different Mad Moneys, the other 2 being front openers.

Re: Bajazzo

Hi, I would think it was a British one. Does it have letters stamped on the side of the case at the top? I have one stamped P.M.W.G, which is Pessers, Moody, Wraith and Gurr.

Condition was a problem. Some with odd bits stuffed in the back, most not working, though some examples were very original. I think the main problem was the venue. I think London being the worst place to hold an auction, with limited parking, meters, if you could find one, £3 an hour limited to 2 ho...

I thought 2k would have been enough for this. I noticed it was the U.S and Canadian bidders who were the strong bidders. It's hard for us Brits to compete in a global market  There seems to be an increase in stuff going across the pond.

Hi, I found the award card, but it does not give any clue to the manufacturer, sorry. But as a guess I would say Stevenson and Lovett - they made some innovative machines and also the artwork for the topflash is very similar to the Conveyor and Skyjump.
Hope this helps, Dave.

I always thought the Mickey was a conversion, made after the mouse became very popular in the early 30s. I presumed they kept changing the character to current popular trends.

I have had a couple of these and I always thought they were an English conversion on a French machine - the mech and front hardware are typically French. I have incidentally seen the ball gallery on another classic English machine which was converted to shock.

Nixie tubes in slot machines

Hi John, this is the one I would like to test. Any advice or should I just plug it in and stand well back :) I have seen one of these bulbs fitted to a machine in the past.

Nixie tubes in slot machines

I have probably got one of these somewhere. I had a few put away to put on Green Rays. I thought I was the only collector of those strange bulbs, the ones with glowing letters when you plug them in. I had one with a 2 foot long advert in, plugged it in, worked for a few seconds then went off with an...
