Re: The National Museum of Penny Slot Machines

Just a reminder to the members of Pennymachines, we are still looking for photos of the original National Museum of Penny Slot Machines from its time on Birnbeck Pier. The museum was set up by Clive Baker & the late John Haywood. Very little is recorded from that time. With your help we can make...

Re: Stevenson and Lovett Fireworks

I doubt you will have any problems, the wiring is very simple, just a few roll over switches and a stepper unit connected to a set of lamps. I did one a few years ago and still have a file full of photos if you need them.

I believe they also made kitchen furniture at one point in time. :didact: Not sure if this was before or after them making machines. !PUZZLED!

Looking at the hand made label, it must be someone working in a small way. I have found this chap from the mid 1960s. Looks like he may have repaired bicycles as well. !PUZZLED! Sorry, no name or address.
Good luck with the restoration. !!THUMBSX2!!

Re: German Veromat slot wiring help needed

If the drawing is correct to your machine?? Try the live feed to the common, and the other 2 wires to the N/O terminal.

That would most likely be my next move if the test DIDN'T show a dead short like the other tests did. .. !!THUMBSX2!!

OK.
you said you had a disconnected wire on the multi pin socket that you reconnected, but not sure if it was the right pin ??

Can you disconnect that wire from the socket and run the same exact test again, and see if you still get a dead short. !PUZZLED!

Re: German Veromat slot wiring help needed

Using an ohm meter, across live and neutral measures 250 ohm, presumably the 6v transformer winding. Shorting the coin switch drops the resistance to zero, hence the Big Bang. Taking off your suggested wires makes no difference to the readings. The coin release relay has 250v across it, however it ...

Re: German Veromat slot wiring help needed

Thanks Slotalot, food for thought, although the wiring diagram does seem to show a resistor. I've added some more pix of the coin relay and switch... Cheers The diagram is a little misleading, what I took to be a resistor is in fact the coin release coil, shown in this photo. lets just try somethin...

Cheers, always helps when you know what you are talking about!! I'll have to order some resistors and have a play, thanks again. SORRY!! I was working partly from memory when I when I mentioned the resistor, I have been been looking again, and your machine never had one, so that theory is dead in t...

Re: German Veromat slot wiring help needed

Thanks guys, I'll have another look. The game runs if you manually press contact 1 on the right, so the motor and reel side looks good, the restart button works, lights work, so whatever the fault is should be easier to narrow down with the diagram. Thanks again. Just read about the resistor thingy...

Re: German Veromat slot wiring help needed

This might help in the absence of the correct diagram. The wiring of the Neomat is very close to that of the Veromat. |/XX\| I have marked the coin switch in red to give you a starting point. I would be checking out the resistor for a short, it should be under the plug and socket that connects the c...
