Re: Mills hi top
Thanks for info guys. I had an inkling before I bought this that perhaps it may have been painted. I can’t imagine the screws started out gold coloured (must have been painted a long time ago), but I liked the colour scheme and it had an escalator and jackpot. Never gave a thought that the castings ...

Re: Mills hi top
Hi grains, the sevens do indeed payout gold award token. I have managed to find reference to another, although picture quality is not great. I’m guessing now that slot in the side is a modification to allow the award chute to be filled externally, although can’t imagine why someone would go to those...

Mills hi top
Please can anyone shed any light on my latest addition. Had this Mills hi top delivered and personally have never came across this gold award set up. It has a separate gold award payout which is loaded in a slot in the side of the machine. I love the colour scheme on the machine and this is a lovely...

Re: Hawtins Allwin
Thanks for info. It’s certainly attractive and looks very well done. Here’s another picture I’ve been sent which may lend to it being an operator modification. Not so well done.

Hawtins allwin - unusual artwork
Wonder if anyone had any thoughts with regards to artwork on this Hawtins machine? I’ve always fancied one but never had the opportunity to buy. This appeared on FB recently and possibly a few members may have seen it. Artwork appears to be original although first I ever saw like this. Has anyone el...

Re: Coventry Spring Auction 22nd March 2020
[quote=brianh post_id=60418 time=1606672653 user_id=8633] This is an intriguing comment on the EH site (which could be of interest to Coventry auction setter-uppers) - any suggestions what Steve might have in mind !PUZZLED! Or is he just playing mind games? I’m a technophobe and have no idea how the...

I asked the question about the coin entry - this was the reply. Also asked what it was made of - not answered - probably MDF.

Re: Nostalgics allwin
Thanks Tom. Yes, the one thing that is noticeable is mostly they are poor quality. I will look into brazing as an option see if it’s possible. I did contact Retro Arcade who kindly supplied me with the full trigger assembly. I have to say an extremely pleasant man. The payout knob on those machines ...

Nostalgics allwin
Not blessed with a choice of projects I sourced this rather sorry mismatched Nostalgics cabinet and door languishing on an auction site. Luckily the door was slightly bigger than the opening, so after cutting the depth of cabinet to get rid of damage, moving shelf position, and cutting the cash draw...

Re: Wonders with free ball
It’s the Plioneer Mr P, had a look and found another in the EH with the usual standard operating instructions, so looking like it’s possibly been altered.

Wonders Plioneer with free ball
Bought this new addition a couple of months ago and am now about to spend some time tidying it. Can anyone shed any light on ball return feature? I notice there are two balls in the machine and on winning when the knob's turned to receive coins it pulls on two copper wires lifting the ball release, ...

Makes more sense when you see your picture gameswat. At first glance on other legs looked alien to machine. Know nothing about it. Came across it for sale. Am I right in thinking it’s a hand cranked machine? Looks to have a spindle on the side for a handle?

Re: Bryans Retreeva help
Recently noticed that this had been lying around for close on six years which prompted me to tackle restoration. Cabinet although looked intact was actually couple layers of ply filled with dust so decided on new cabinet. D0F4FCFC-3997-4ABE-827E-5CA35DA061Ea.jpg 8BCC89F6-B973-495B-9FAD-A287EB7D799a....
