Advice on Puritan Bell reel strips
I'm making new reel strips for a guy and he's struggling to understand how they fit (so I'm struggling to understand what he's telling me). He says they are metal, which I think is indeed the case. They look to be held in place by two stubs that fold over the top of the "9". They also look...

Vintage screws
I really don't know if this is something some collectors might need for their machines or not and, although I do use this company I have never bought "vintage screws " from them, this company describes itself as "The home of vintage screws" so I thought I'd spread the word just i...

Bally Circus glass
I've never seen this glass or those symbols before. One of the hardest glasses I've had to build from scratch (AND the text is in Danish (I think).

Re: Mills Escalator Jams
The first thing to do is eliminate the escalator as a cause then you can look elsewhere. Remove the escalator and totally dismantle it. If you have not done this before it will be very dirty. There will be wear on the inside where the coins rub, This can be a cause of jams but it's unlikely as long ...

Re: Jennings Galaxy Rarer 50 Cent Model Identified
Somewhat overpriced at $1700. Doesn't even have a jackpot unit, no UV lighting or fluorescent reel strips, poor replacement strips and award card, I wouldn't pay more than £800 tops.

Re: Vintage Slots in Films and Newsreels
In the hugely successful "Big Bang Theory" a very nice, rare and valuable pinball shows up in scenes shot in the comic book store in more than a dozen episodes. It's a 1950 Genco "Rocket". It's never featured in the show but the many glimpses are tantalizing. Artwork by George Mol...

Re: Ebay prices getting out of hand
yes i know what it is, what I meant was simply starting the auction at that point instead of wasting time bidding it up to a point where bidding stops and the item fails to sell, the old idea that reserves encourage more bids (which I guess is what Mr P means) is, in my view at least, no longer vali...

Re: Ebay prices getting out of hand
In reality "reserves" are a waste of time. If the item isn't going to be sold under that price then start the auction at that price. If it doesn't sell, the result is the same.watlingman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 8:38 amWhere only you the auctioneer and potential buyers know your reserve

Re: Ebay prices getting out of hand
You could always list it on here as I’ve heard it’s got thoughts of members and at £5 a go I don’t think you will beat that! As I said, I do not use ebay for slot related items. This is for a small business I run. Yes the rate listed is 12.88%, but if you want any chance of selling an item it costs...

Ebay prices getting out of hand
I don't use eBay for slot sales, but I know lots of people do. I do use it a lot for other sales because I don't really have any other options, and believe me, the cost of selling on eBay is getting crazy. If you want to get your product seen at all it's going to cost you a staggering 22% (or more) ...

Re: Unusual Jennings machine
your right of course, I really think I'm getting too old, I actually put "constellation" instead of "Continental" on the photo on my web site as well as here, im going to have to take things slower, I've just come back from a vacation and before i went I decided to hide my house ...

Jennings Continental Star Chief identified
The "Bonanza Casino" in Reno contacted my site asking if I could ID this Jennings machine they have on display in a glass case on their slot machine floor. I was pleased to be able to help. It is a Jennings you rarely see, a "Constellation" made I believe exclusively for casinos....

Re: We're pampering to the minority ...
as to the view of these protesters,it always seems to me they are more interested in being protesters than they are in being involved in a particular cause, this is often underlined by their lack of thinking the subject through. If you banned the riding of horses the horse would have no reason to ex...

Re: We're pampering to the minority ...
It is true all publicity is considered good for a cause, but in my view that is not always the case, it can also damage a cause as in this case. These people are instantly labelled as "cranks" and "stupid" by the vast majority, and many people on the fringe of this cause thinking...

Thanks Mr. P....I'd rather deal with you than Gameswat,,,,Roger wouldn't we all  for me, the whale bidder is the arrogant flashy bidder who ,in truth, just wants to be seen and heard to advertise his wealth. The most obnoxious example I've ever witnessed was on a cruise some years ago, the shi...
