Before I took the wires off the switch, all 3 were connected to 3 terminals, Com, NO, NC all looked original. The diagram is for a slightly different version, by the same maker, so it is only a guide really. I'm going to take the cam springset out again to have a really close look at the changeovers...

Using an ohm meter, across live and neutral measures 250 ohm, presumably the 6v transformer winding. Shorting the coin switch drops the resistance to zero, hence the Big Bang. The game runs if you manually press contact 1 on the right, so the motor and reel side looks good, the restart button works, lights work, so whatever the fault is should be easier to narrow down with the diagram. Thanks guys, fuse blows immediately the coin switch makes contact. I have started to unpick the wiring loom in the hope that the short circuit will show itself. Very interested to see that the correct name is a Veromat!! no wonder I can't find any info about it!!

Wow, this was a labour of love!! Pleased you managed to get everything fixed. A bit confused about not sorting out the paint though. An hour with a mini paint roller and some metal paint would have produced a perfectly acceptable finish, comparable with most factory industrial finishes.

The Jennings jackpot can be adjusted using the 2 screws securing the chrome plate behind the glass. Tightening the screws will increase the depth, and therefore the volume to hold the coins, and the reverse holds good.

They will plate, but for the Jennings parts, they recommend polishing due to the poor base material...
