Re: Sunshine allwin
There does appear to be a few ebay sellers who are somewhat economical with the truth, or perhaps inventive is a better word, in their descriptions. I see what tree-frog was referring to about the sunshine allwin description re "his brother" now I've read the description! I was also amused...

I happened to be watching it by chance. They annonuced the Electricity is life machine at the start so I kept watching. It was none other than Simon of Classic amusements selling it.

Re: Byrans or not Bryans
As Coin- op says there isn`t much to go on. No photos of the mech or even a decent one of the playfield. It looks to me like an Allwin de lux which has had Bryans chrome fitted to the outside, but it really is impossible to tell without seeing inside. The lock is at the top of the door, which I have...

Re: Paint stripper
I`ve not used Mangers (isn`t that cider!). I recently stripped a quite big machine of 6 or so layers of gloss paint using Rustins Strypit. I used just over 2.5 litres of it so should have bought 5 litres which would have been cheaper. It was as good as Nitromores in my opinion. I would advise agains...

Re: First ever Wonders Allwin?
For a re cased machine it seems very dear to me. Perhaps the seller is remembering the little batch of Wonders machines that made very good money on ebay last year. Generally in my view Allwin prices are very reasonable at the moment. When I started 15 + years ago Allwins could make £600 easy. This ...

Re: Glass Polishing
I have had success in polishing out not too deep scratches with the Chrome cleaner, Autosol. It takes a fair bit of elbow grease, but the results were very good. I nearly typed Anusol, but that wouldn't be much use. In fact you might just as well put it up your bottom.

Re: Ruffler & Walker "What's My Line"
In my opinion leave the original backflash alone and definitely treat the wood worm.
Here in the UK you can buy woodworm killers which are usually a clear liquid wood treatment that you soak the wood with, or spray into individual holes.
