Re: BRYANS CLOCK CASTINGS
well, just picked up the castings from Sheffield, after 4 attempts they managed to get the rings to stay in one piece. It has taken me several hours of hard work to get the finish acceptable to be able to plate. They claimed the original might have either been pressure cast, or stamped and machined ...

Re: Guilt by omission?
Don't really see the issue here John, it is stated quite clearly that it is on free play & the coin is returned, the photo is not jigged to hide the coin runways as is often the case, with some recent horror stories on ebay regarding very dodgy Jennings Governors, so there is no deception in the...

Re: Wonders Bucket & Ball
I stand very much corrected, I've only seen nice oak allwins from Wonders before, probably because the later ones are so rare.

Re: Wonders Bucket & Ball
Judging by all the micro-switches etc., this must be a revamped late Wonders from the early 60's, but the playfield style is very 50s, not really matching the case style. Would it have started life like this?

Re: ANOTHER 'VERY RARE GOLDEN NUGGET' APPEARS
Richard Bueschel, who is one the best informed Slottie in the US, or maybe even the world, put a photo of said bandit in his book 'collectors guide to vintage coin machines' with a big warning, to be aware that these are fantasy pieces, nothing to do with either Mills or the Golden Nugget Casino. Ea...

Re: ANOTHER 'VERY RARE GOLDEN NUGGET' APPEARS
250580761057 ANOTHER 'rare 1940's Mills Golden Nugget' has appeared for only £850, perhaps the factory has been moved to China..many a true word spoken in jest.

Re: ebay-ONE ARM BANDIT BINGO VIDEO SLOT ARCADE FRUIT MACHINES
This reads like the same machine from Peterlee in the North East, never used, mint, original paperwork etc. I was offered last year. The seller did very well indeed from the Aristo he bought from me, but that's life.
BBB 'bought' 2 Governors off me & then cried off when the time came to pay up.

Another 'Very Rare Golden Nugget' appears
260553419864 on ebay relisted again, this one is not even a Mills rebuild, a complete Las Vegas airport fake down to the last nut & bolt. I hope he did not pay too much for it in the first place. ( for the uninitiated, Mills never made these machines & tried to get the production stopped, th...

Re: help! british slot books!
Shire's No 285 Amusement Machines (2.95) by Lynn Pearson, a slim but informative volume, out of print now, but fairly widely produced, is a good source. I've just noticed a picture of a high top Bryans Clock on page 4 that someone was asking about, also a 4 Square with a Pilwin & Gapwin on the s...

Re: CONVEYOR on Ebay-UK
I have seen some of Simon's work & he is top notch, no detail is too small to him & his artwork is excellent. I bought a Bingolett & What's My Line giant allwin from him some years ago. I hope he does well out of his efforts.

ANOTHER 'UNKNOWN' ALLWIN HITS eBAY
EBay item 250576778313 makes me smile. The gush of the seller for an obvious home made allwin gives me hope for selling snow to the eskimos. A nice piece of work by the constructor, but not the real deal described by the seller.

Re: CASCADE TRIPS
Thanks for the reply, haven't bothered with the ones on sale, I sometimes think they are more trouble than they are worth. Any flexing of the ply means the gap between the glass and the trips varies & the trips fall off, usually 5 mins after the buyer turns up! The one on ebay looks like the coi...

Re: Selecta Music
Selecta is just the distributor here, the New Yorker appeared in many guises, Monte Carlo with race cars on the glass was very popular in the late 60s in arcades, most broken up by now I would have thought. The blurb about the Sega says a lot about the seller(!), no end of variants exist, with diffe...

Re: KOMET ALL SKILL - On Ebay you might be interested
Having watched this over the last few weeks, I am of the opinion that this is a fake, or at best, an attempt to produce something that nearly looks like an early coin drop. The style of the playfield is certainly Liepzig inspired from the 30s, however the symmetry is all wrong; the artwork is not ri...
