Re: A strange thing happened today
Am saying you won't find the real machines By staying at home And that coppinpr and others is a true fact guess it depends how good you are at spotting a good machine and if you have a life outside slot machines and dont want to spend your free time trudging round the country, now that IS a true fa...

Re: Buckley mech question
Perhaps I'll just drill holes either side of the JP hole in the outside two Buckley mech discs to give a criss cross payout (my original plan, and sounds easier, not easy - just easier). That should work.... shouldn't it?

Buckley mech question
I have two Buckley half tops, one I bought at Coventry and one I bought recently on Ebay. The first is finished and can be seen on another thread; the second is almost finished and has come up very well indeed and may turn out to be the best of the two One has a Buckley mech but a modified payout wi...

Re: Jennings prices
I have just looked at the one on ebay that sold for that amount. I believe this one sold for well over the correct price, I bought the exact same machine (same colors, same coinage, 2 pulls per play) but 10 times better condition eight months ago for £500, as PM says, takes two to tango, a thing is ...

Re: Sega Diamond 3 Star
You have to remember that the escalator is the coin checker. The esc., coin tube and slides should all match. The full escalator has to be correct for the coin (some will take tokens and coins, but only of the right size). I don't know about the Shefras escalator, as I don't use them. They may be ad...

Hi and welcome to the forum, I'm not an allwin man, so can't help much but some of the guys on this forum are the best in the world on allwins, they will be along later to tell you all. In the meantime, they paid out packets off mints, there were versions paying Spangles, Areo, Pastilles, and chewin...

Re: coventry auction
I live in Edinburgh not much happens here Then you must come to Coventry for the auction. After a visit to Coventry, Edinburgh will look like New York. As far as I can see, having the auction in Coventry is like having the NASCAR race in Bristol Tennessee - twice a year the population wakes up for ...

Re: Nostalgic Machines Fun at the Fair
Hello and welcome to the site. I'm a slots man myself, so don't know a lot about Allwins but some of the guys on this site are the best in the world when it comes to Allwins of any kind. From what I remember, and the boys will soon correct me if I'm wrong, these were made in the '70-80s, and are sma...

Re: A strange thing happened today
Yes I already spotted it as a scam, and others have pointed it out as well. I guessed it might be from the start,he wanted no info about the machines, said he was away in the states, etc etc. Ive seen the like before but was hoping for a cash sale, but not to be. Its all to do with there being no proof...

A strange thing happened today
I got an email from Gumtree today to say someone was interested in the "Golden Nugget" I had listed there some months ago asking if it was still for sale. I replied to the buyer that it was long gone but that I had other machines to sell. He asked for photos. I sent photos of seven machine...

Re: newbie question about sega
I'd remove the escalator and totally dismantle it - sounds daunting but it's not. Clean and polish it but don't oil any part that comes in contact with coins. This will revive this machine 100%. You will be amazed at the crud in that esc. Uncover the esc window, replace the esc and you will have inc...

Re: Maintenance
If it's running well, there is not much you need to do. Old grease goes hard and should be removed. After that, a light oil off the major working parts every 6 months is enough. Use sewing machine oil or similar. Do not get any oil anywhere near any part that deal with the coins (slides, chutes, esc...

Re: Sega Diamond 3 Star
Somewhere in Resources is a beginners' guide to reels. Yes, you do need to mark the positions. It can be a big mess if you get the alignment wrong. If there is only one BAR per reel it's easier - line up the three bars and slide a peg into the jackpot pay holes on the payout discs and mark the posit...

Have you decided to fix or sell?
The June Coventry auction or the auction section of this site will work well if you want to sell. If you want to fix, then you need to remove the mech and ID the jam. Do you know how to remove the mech and test it?

Hello and welcome to the best slot forum BY FAR!! I have a Mills hi-top with a cast "Club Automatic" name bar. As far as I know, they were just agents in the South of England. There is a jackpot window for sale on ebay right now, but overpriced. Sort of thing that my well come up at the ne...
