Looks a little bit like a machine in the Carters arcade. Don't know much about it though, sorry.

Re: Turn back the clock!

Taken from melvyn's site. "William Edward Bryan was born in 1894, and opened up his slot machine factory at Kegworth, Derbyshire (England) in 1920."
Also says that the 12 win clock was introduced in 1947!!! haha

Re: Spot the Difference

Yeah I agree, never has appealed to me really.
I have been offered a couple in the past and turned them down mostly due to not knowing if they were orginals or not.

Re: Spot the Difference

Thanks for letting me know the difference between the two.
What do they normally go for? £510 seems quite high especially for a repro one :-?

Re: Clown Catcher

Hi all :D Thanks for all the replies and info. I have got it working as far as when you put a coin in the ball is released and the arm can now pick it up and put it into play. Not 100% sure on the payout yet, not sure if any springs or levers are missing. I think I will just leave the pump for now. ...

Spot the Difference

Topic merged - Site Admin. How do you tell the difference between the original Bryan's Ripplers and the other ones which I am led to believe where built from some original parts by a private collector. Don't know if that is true but that's what I heard. The reason I ask is because there is Bryans R...

Re: Clown Catcher

Hi and thanks PM for the speedy response. Thanks for all the info. How hard do you think it would be to make a pump for it? Doesn't look too complicated. I'm not sure if I'm getting it wrong, but the arm that collects the ball doesn't move past the point shown in the picture, unless I push the lever...

Clown Catcher

Just got round to picking this one up. In fair/poor condition but needs some restoration work and I think there are a few problems with it. Not too sure who made it or what country it originated from. The felt background, although you cannot tell because it's so discoloured , is green. I think the c...

Re: Aristocrat Fiesta

Quick update: I have now got the reels spinning and it is paying out (most of the time). There was a ton of old grease in every nook and cranny of the mech, which I cleaned as best I could. After carefully putting some parts back (never done this sort of thing before, so as you can imagine I sighed ...

Misidentified BMCo?

I've seen this come up a few times on ebay, item number 300305115069. It doesn't look to be in great condition.
Anyway, the seller states that it is a Bryans Allwin. By the looks of the handle and payout I'd say it was a BMCo. What do you reckon?

Re: What was your first slot and why?

On that site next to the Wonders allwin. If you scroll down a bit, it says that Wondermatics was owned by two gays and this is why the Wonders company logo is a bit unusual/funny/rude (depends how you feel about it). :-o Is this true? I find it a little hard to believe. :???: P.s. great stories of h...
