Scottish collectors

Not sure if it is all the same person, but the top 5 searches for One arm Bandits on Gumtree are requests for machines and are from, Scottish Borders, Perth & Kinross, East Ayeshire, Dundee, East Lothian......Maybe the next auction needs to be held up there to cater for these people.......mind y...

Re: Simple question about a Mills part

This allows the operator to put the award they choose state when winning 777, good for UK as most of the fixed one's I have seen are in dollars, some are completely blank with no window or stated value....Not that uncommon, think a few of my machines have this.

What's going on?

I may be missing something, but I am sure there is more than a bar missing from this Hawtins allwin.... I did point this out to the seller and the below is the response: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321154365670&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123 Not sure if anyone else ha...

Re: Jubilee Riviera Payouts

Hi there, on your previous post, you mentioned you had many hours of pleasure on the machine before the issues. Did it originally payout correctly when you got the machine and secondly have you addressed the cracked frame?

Re: Aristocrat payout slide

Interesting, some time ago I posted having composite slides on a Aristocrat Regal machine, but in white, again large slides/payout (mine being the size of a Half Dollar tokens). I thought mine was a custom job, but looking at yours, Aristocrat is stamped on the base, so was a supplied item from the ...

Re: Mills Vest Pocket

Haven't got a clue what you guys are talking about, but mighty impressive irrespective.....I dream of having the resto initiative some of you seem to have.......Funny that this flap seem to be a common area that always seems to deteriorate on the Mini Segas. I guess poor quality materials used.

Re: Hopper bother

I believe that silver button is one of the those thumb locking screws like you get on the Aristo mechanisms, but yes this those three fuses should be checked. Of course the other nice thing on these machines is that the wiring diagram should be stuck to the back of the machine behind the mechanism

Re: Hopper bother

Don't have one of these now, but would have thought these are DC, especially with the very large transformer at the top. I think what is being suggested is there are a number of fuses that should be checked as per your picture, and is always the first and easiest place to start. I would suggest you ...

Re: Bargains in the Pennymachines Auction?

I do like these machines and was very tempted when Jingles sold one a while ago after having a play.....For me though I agree with Andy, the colours are a little bit too bling and I prefer the original look... Always prefer resto's to try and be contemporary with the original colour schemes, but I g...

Re: Coventry Auction - Sun 23rd June, 2013

Yes, the Aristocrat Hoots Mon was beautiful. Like a dream and a bargain to boot. I would have placed a bid on it except my Yaris could just manage a few allwins.. Hey I could have delivered, in fact I bought the machine from a bloke in Clacton, who got it from a dealer in Camden Market who apparent...

Re: Aristocrat Nevada jamming

There are a few in your area on here and they may respond. From your description, it sounds like the coin detector part of the escalator may not be working or operating correctly.... Another option is, if you are able to take a short video with your phone or camera and post on here, either using you...

Re: let us know what you bought

Bit of an oxymoron that Tom. Still great to see you and pleased my Double Six found a good home.. Yes your right, perhaps I was comparing it to the £70 one I bought at the Elephant (although in pieces). The other one at the auction was nice though, ex Harold machine....... I thought you had sold yo...

Now Hutto, you unfortunately missed a cracker of a Hoots Mon, as it was mine and yes worked great and was in very good condition, bar the small scrape near the lock....Perhaps you would have saved the trouble on the machine you ended up with :tut In terms of this topic, not sure I should give my opi...

Re: let us know what you bought

Can't say I bought bargains, but ended up walking away with 4 machines, a cheap Duomat, not perfect, but mostly there, another Beromat, the Double six and most expensive one the Town Broker. Interesting Cheeky, I also had the lowdown after buying what was wrong with it, e.g. modified payouts to 4 co...
